This may be the difference between us and the Dolphins. Insanely long drives with a stop or 2 on defense will probably have Tyreek Hill looking like a crack addict on the sideline
-
Not with an offense that stagnant, even good defenses tire out

Sam Martin's tackle attempt on the punt return TD in OT.

This brings up memories of Chad Morton's KR in OT in Orchard Park back when we had Bledsoe -
They have fans, they just know they're screwed for the next decade or so. Hence the silence

Win or lose, remember, it's just 1 game. The end result isn't definitive one way or the other, especially since it's the first game of the year. It's a long season
-
It goes a bit further with Tua tho. Honestly, how productive would he be without Hill? Just Waddle and no Hill, he'd be incredibly mediocre at best.
-
Jumping the gun a bit aren't we? Are the phins gonna play the chargers every week? Their defense isn't much to write home about

Geez, after today, how much egg on how many faces?

Didn't he get cut?

1-3 for a team that overhyped might produce Rodgers retirement talk. As I said before, if the Bills pull off a win, Jets fans will feel quite queasy from that loss alone
-
Out of all those pundits, I wonder which ones were bold enough to wager money on the Dolphins making the conference championship?

Does anyone wonder whether or not Rodgers has ever played with this much stiff competition in the NFC North? Let's face it, all the hype they're getting is basically a lifeline for a dying fanbase, and I will even admit that I feel a bit sorry for them. We gotta remember we were there once before ourselves. I'm not taking anything away from their team this year, in other words I won't be surprised if they do make the playoffs. Anything short of that will suck whatever life is left out of that fanbase and then some. If we do lose, I just hope it won't be a blow out. But as many others have pointed out, if we do win, it'll add more pressure for every game the rest of the year. Just End The Season may come sooner than previous years

Armstead is a LT, it's the RT that protects Tua's blindside since he throws left handed. It's still a huge blow since he's probably their best OL
-
Just throwing this out there, but the Jets just released Streveler. I've only seen him play once against the Jags and he looked decent at times. He has some scramble ability and is pretty young EDIT: Never mind, dude apparently had a terrible outing against Cleveland and got hurt, scratch that

Josh Allen is the most durable starting NFL QB
buffalo2218 replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Josh is gonna be Josh, and I know none of us want to see him battered but he's not gonna change. His competitive nature is too strong to even compromise any change. If anyone hopes he changes, it's the LBs and DBs he's already faced, especially the ones he's hurdled -
Bills named team with most “expectations” on them in 2023
buffalo2218 replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would go as far as to say the Jets given what they gave up for Rodgers. They're far more on borrowed time than anyone else since Rodgers will only play 2 years tops -
Your daily Josh Allen is pretty good at football update
buffalo2218 replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Didn't know he could throw 40 yards -
This is exactly what I was thinking, this rule change makes very little sense. I don't think it'll effect Allen as much as it will Lamar Jackson

The funny part about the bolded is Cowherd has a new sidekick that's a huge Jets homer that recently said the Bills were the team with the most pressure this year. Then about a week later he backtracked his statement by saying he didn't account for everything the Bills went through last year with Allen and his elbow injury, having to play multiple games with short rest primarily because of that massive snow storm, the Damar Hamlin incident etc. As a lot of people pointed out, Cowherd didn't mention the additions to the OL the Bills did make. But honestly, who could the Bills have signed that would have made an impact on the OL without completely wrecking our salary cap? I wouldn't call Cowherd an idiot, but he's not doing his due diligence either

He's already dumped

Hopkins released by Arizona (7/16: signed by Titans)
buffalo2218 replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree with all points here, we have the backs, we just need better O line play. Hopefully with the new additions at guard, we get a boost in both the running (by the RBs) and passing. I'm on the fence myself on Hopkins, if we get him, it'll make for an interesting combo with Diggs. But if we don't, I won't be disappointed. To me, there were no excuses for last year's playoff debacle. If we do plan on having a more "aggressive" defense and it pays dividends, it should be a good year. Perhaps Frazier played a bit more passively to keep our defense as fresh as possible. Idk how much Hopkins has left, but Kincaid may end up as good if not better than him. -
Compared to Zach Wilson, yeah Rodgers is the end all be all. Doesn't necessarily mean the Jets should be crowned of anything tho. This being week 1, the advantage goes to the Bills. You say you're being realistic but how can you be realistic when you haven't seen Rodgers play a down for the Jets? Assumption doesn't translate to reality, and up to this point, all you're doing is assuming the Bills won't beat the Jets because Wilson won't be under center. It's a new year and Rodgers plays in the tougher of both conferences

Given Wilson's numbers in that game, I don't think it mattered who was at QB that day, the Bills were as flat as they could get
