What this kid does in college doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll translate to the pros. I’ll give him all the credit in the world for what he’s accomplished up to this point. But again, everyone thought Manziel was so great too. And like this kid, proclaiming how great he’s gonna be wasn’t any different than Manziel. On the the flip side, adding him to what we already have would make for one hell of a LB core for sure if he is what he says he is

If Allen is real deal, bills make playoffs
buffalo2218 replied to QBorBust2018's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can't set any kind of expectations such as playoffs, that's not to say I don't wanna be proven wrong. But I think it's a bit too much to ask of Allen to make that kind of jump in year 2. If he can show some kind of gradual improvement, I'll take that. But playoffs or bust? That to me is way premature -
Beane was pi##ed off about Buffalo comments
buffalo2218 replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's great to hear those kind of comments from Beane. As for AB, I do believe he did turn down the Bills for the reasons that are being tossed around from ignorance, But I also believe Brown is smart enough to keep his mouth shut about that too, and a lot of that is because of the signings the Bills made. Part of me wants to believe that maybe he thinks he was premature in his assessment of this organization. Personally I didn't want him here anyway, didn't want Allen's development in jeopardy. -
Time to think About Suh?
buffalo2218 replied to Franchiseneedsme's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Suh is not exactly what you would call a move for the future for pretty much any team, but especially this team. For a guy with the kind of talent he’s shown, it’s kinda sad he’s been reduced to jumping from team to team -
My issue with Clowney and I realize this may rub some folks the wrong way is that to me, he hasn’t lived up to his overall draft status. This guy was a number 1 overall pick IIRC and quite honestly, I’m not so sure he’d be worth surrendering a high pick for

Another poster made a thread about feeling sorry for the Dolphins, I scoffed at that notion til I read this lol. Nothing smells worse than burnt phish

Report - Bills talking to Hou for Clowney
buffalo2218 replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That’s the last thing I would worry about since Rex Ryan is long gone. I would trust McDermott is more than capable of getting the best out of Clowney compared to Ryan -
Jets got basically shunned by Paradis as well. If they flop on signing Bell, this off season will leave a sickening taste in Jet fans’ mouths

Report: Bills working on extension for Jordan Phillips

Well let’s hope he still holds a grudge against Gase. More motivation to beat another division rival -
Team Identity when they move
buffalo2218 replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Being from Tennessee myself, I look at it as if that’s how it is then the Titans also inherit the blown 32 point lead in 93 against the Bills. All of a sudden, their “miracle” doesn’t seem like much of a miracle any more -
Brady and Belichick Deserve to Go Out On Top
buffalo2218 replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ok maybe they’re better, but to deny they bent the rules a bit if not a lot is quite one sided, not to mention confusing. If they were that good, crossing the lines they crossed shouldn’t have been necessary. Deflategate was a joke? The joke was not even mentioning pulling of Brady’s texts from his service provider since there was an actual hearing involved. The NFL saved that franchise by doing as little as possible. They may be good, but there’s also arrogance the goes along with that, especially Bellichek. They got more than enough as it is now imo -
Week 14: Bills vs. Jets Postgame
buffalo2218 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I do agree with you on the running hurting his development part, but a lot of this can be attributed to the lack of surrounding talent. I would much rather see him pass more, god knows we don’t need Tyrod 2.0, but until he gets a better OL, we’re gonna see a lot of running -
Where are you on the spectrum??
buffalo2218 replied to Dadonkadonk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I fall under realist. Passing judgement on either good or bad games he’s had is premature. Like everyone else, I praise the good and hope he can learn and adapt with the bad. Really wished he beat the Dolphins tho. Even tho he didn’t, I saw enough to know the phish are gonna be cellar dwellers for quite a long time. Right there with the Pats when they finally do their rebuild -
Adrian Peterson--How is this POS still in the NFL today?
buffalo2218 replied to Mr. WEO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ok here’s the problem I have, and it’s not Adrian Peterson I have the problem with. The problem I have is the people complaining about spanking a child. Ok, I got spanked with a belt, switch, toy race car track, just about whatever. Now the extent of what Peterson’s tactics were the first time was way too much. But as far as using a belt? I have zero issues with it. Because it seems to me that not using a belt today is part of the problem: Growing up, I never saw or even heard of kids killing other kids and teachers in school, how many times has that happened recently? There’s what’s called right to parent in the law itself. I don’t in any way advocate child abuse, using a belt is not the same. But back to Peterson, I don’t have any issues with him using a belt for corporal punishment, but the line is drawn there.- 155 replies
