  1. It's only obnoxious if they actually had a platform to stand on. They base the Allen/Darnold comparison solely on Darnold's potential. Hell you could do that with any QB in the league. They can deny all they want, but Allen took a good step last year, and for his first playoff game, didn't play that bad. The Bills have the Jets beat in so many different positions that it's not even an argument. That's not to say the Jets can't improve, but as of right now with Gase running things, they're far from a threat
  2. Meh it's all good, they're not being blatantly arrogant. In their minds, Allen is the inferior QB, which is fine until the game is played
  3. Gase isn't just slowing it down, he's in the way of it. This guy is way out there on the fringe with just about everything. Now don't take this the wrong way, but a lot of Bills fans can empathize. We've hired our share of HCs that were headscratchers, Dick Jauron comes to mind. But hey, it's all good tho.
  4. To be honest, I'm not really taking anything away from Darnold, nothing at all. But I think he's in the worst spot when it comes to building around him. Bell was an obvious mistake, not sure why that happened. That's not a knock on Darnold, but between Bell and the Gase hire, it's hard to say he's the better QB right now simply because of his potential. I will say I was concerned when McCarthy was mentioned for a HC candidate there.
  5. Lol this guy's already started a thread on Buffalo on Jetnation
  6. Pull up Darnold botching the snap in Miami and what he did after, then pull up Allen's botched snap in Dallas on thanksgiving and then maybe you'll see the difference? There's a reason we say Allen has more fire. We can also nitpick ourselves
  7. Well, if they're gonna say Darnold is 2-0 at New Era, then technically, Allen is 2-0 at metlife
  8. I watched him play a few times, and you're right, he is quite smart and he had quite a college career. And yes, Allen is a franchise QB for sure. I don't think the Bills have had a QB since Flutie get this much attention
  9. I'm not quite sure how Fromm will do on the professional level. If he's a supposed "fit" for Daboll, that would imply the FO picked him because of that. Doesn't really mean he'll go far and it definitely doesn't mean he'll replace Allen.
  10. I read some of the posts on Jetnation from time to time. There's a guy on there named Sar that will insist the Jets won the first game regardless. And oh my god, he piles on excuse after excuse. He even gets on Jet fans nerves Lol I love these people, especially Jet fans, talking about how bad and inaccurate Allen is. Darnold threw more picks in 19 (in practically 5 less games) yet Allen is inaccurate. Then the others that obviously didn't watch any Bills games say the same thing. Taking the narrative from college analysis and using the "your defense carried you in to the playoffs"
  11. Gase is just a pass happy OC. Kinda reminds me of Kevin Gilbride in that they both fail to use common sense. Gase getting that "quarterback whisperer" title really ended up being a detriment to that whole franchise. I was kinda relieved when McCarthy was turned down.
  12. Was watching a clip on YouTube yesterday that had Deion Sanders in it feeling pity for the Jets because of their first 4 games. He ended it with saying Bell doesn't want to play for the Jets
  13. Yeah, he's one of few RBs that underestimate the value of a good OL. I know that's what his lack of production will attribute to to some people. But at the same time, Gase never did put much stock in a team's running game. He had it made with Ajayi in Miami
  14. Yeah, Bell's contract was an asinine decision by your former GM. From what I saw last year, he looked quite unmotivated for someone that just got a huge payday
  15. Not sure about that far, but from a talent perspective, he is right about there being very little comparison between both teams this year. I think some of our struggles last year were playcalling and being too conservative with a lead. I'm hoping McDermott won't make the same mistake this year, or Daboll whichever one was responsible. Both the Jets and Bills last year had issues offensively. That being said, I think Gase will again show he's the inferior coach.
  16. Jet fans already have their excuse etched in stone this year, coronavirus. How they can ignore they have the worst HC in the division and still pump their chests I'll never know. Very few are reasonable, but for the most part, they acted the same as they did last year. Allen gets a ton of hate over there, but it's mostly salty hate. Nitpicking Allen's mistakes and ignoring things he did do that Darnold can't is commonplace there. The one comparison between the two that's been thrown around is the fire Allen brings whereas Darnold looks like he's wondering why he's there. Case in point, in Miami, Darnold does very little after a botched snap, what did Allen do in Dallas on 4th and 1? Another thing the Jet fans ignored was when Singletary was in, things turned around. And no, I don't believe for a second Mosely would have made a difference. A lot of Jet fans make excuses because they're terrified of Darnold failing. Gase could very well ruin him
  17. Ok, so if the Ravens pick 31st, does that mean the Chiefs and Ravens played in the SB?
  18. Jet fans are stewing hard over this. This reminds me of the Kelly/Marino rivalry. Marino was the slightly better passer, but Kelly had the better overall team. Couldn't explain that to phish fans. The majority of the Jet fan base thinks Darnold is good enough to overcome lack of talent and bad coaching/management. When he fails, they resort to excuses of that manner. Funny how they call Allen inaccurate yet Darnold threw more INTs in 4 less games in 2019
  19. I remember that catch, the pass was a bit under thrown, the DB tipped it and Moulds snatched it with one hand. Everything clicked for the Bills in that second half. Moulds and Price were a crazy good WR combo
  20. What did the Jets expect after that Osemele fiasco? No O lineman in their right mind would want to play there
  21. The Jets are gonna have a hard time getting any FAs given what's already happened last year with that OL they tried to force to play while injured
  22. Around 1989 was when I started following the Bills, more like became a hardcore fan. I had a friend that was all over Dan Marino’s jock that just got all over my nerves. Enter the Marinobane called the Buffalo Bills. All the fits this team gave him sold me, and from that point on, I couldn’t count how many times my friend ended up cussing this team up and down. Have stayed a fan since then through thick and thin.
  23. That explains why we don't have the Jills anymore
  24. How rich would that be? The second he signs that contract, Brady announces his retirement
  25. It’s gonna depend a lot on how much Tua looks after all the rehab and combine. The Bengals may hold Tua hostage for a boatload of picks
