Jetnation sure does not lack any confidence
buffalo2218 replied to saundena's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, he's one of few RBs that underestimate the value of a good OL. I know that's what his lack of production will attribute to to some people. But at the same time, Gase never did put much stock in a team's running game. He had it made with Ajayi in Miami -

Yeah, Bell's contract was an asinine decision by your former GM. From what I saw last year, he looked quite unmotivated for someone that just got a huge payday -

Not sure about that far, but from a talent perspective, he is right about there being very little comparison between both teams this year. I think some of our struggles last year were playcalling and being too conservative with a lead. I'm hoping McDermott won't make the same mistake this year, or Daboll whichever one was responsible. Both the Jets and Bills last year had issues offensively. That being said, I think Gase will again show he's the inferior coach. -

Jet fans already have their excuse etched in stone this year, coronavirus. How they can ignore they have the worst HC in the division and still pump their chests I'll never know. Very few are reasonable, but for the most part, they acted the same as they did last year. Allen gets a ton of hate over there, but it's mostly salty hate. Nitpicking Allen's mistakes and ignoring things he did do that Darnold can't is commonplace there. The one comparison between the two that's been thrown around is the fire Allen brings whereas Darnold looks like he's wondering why he's there. Case in point, in Miami, Darnold does very little after a botched snap, what did Allen do in Dallas on 4th and 1? Another thing the Jet fans ignored was when Singletary was in, things turned around. And no, I don't believe for a second Mosely would have made a difference. A lot of Jet fans make excuses because they're terrified of Darnold failing. Gase could very well ruin him -
Ok, so if the Ravens pick 31st, does that mean the Chiefs and Ravens played in the SB?

Jet fans are stewing hard over this. This reminds me of the Kelly/Marino rivalry. Marino was the slightly better passer, but Kelly had the better overall team. Couldn't explain that to phish fans. The majority of the Jet fan base thinks Darnold is good enough to overcome lack of talent and bad coaching/management. When he fails, they resort to excuses of that manner. Funny how they call Allen inaccurate yet Darnold threw more INTs in 4 less games in 2019

What did the Jets expect after that Osemele fiasco? No O lineman in their right mind would want to play there -

The Jets are gonna have a hard time getting any FAs given what's already happened last year with that OL they tried to force to play while injured -
Around 1989 was when I started following the Bills, more like became a hardcore fan. I had a friend that was all over Dan Marino’s jock that just got all over my nerves. Enter the Marinobane called the Buffalo Bills. All the fits this team gave him sold me, and from that point on, I couldn’t count how many times my friend ended up cussing this team up and down. Have stayed a fan since then through thick and thin.

Tua declares for the draft; do you want Miami to take him?
buffalo2218 replied to krf139's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It’s gonna depend a lot on how much Tua looks after all the rehab and combine. The Bengals may hold Tua hostage for a boatload of picks -

There’s a good chance the Bengals take him too. Have him sit a year learning behind Dalton. That would work out well for cinci unless Miami pays a king’s ransom -
Let's get AJ Green

Agreed, if anything, Duke’s earned more time in OTAs and TC at the very least -
Duke today, did the bad outweigh the good?
buffalo2218 replied to Mister Defense's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
By your reasoning, any Bills WR that drops a TD pass doesn’t get a pass. Tell me, if you put Williams in Brown’s spot on the TD attempt against Baltimore, does Williams make that catch? -
Who would you rather be a fan of today?
buffalo2218 replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The schedule needs to be tougher for this team to take the next step. I don’t want to see the Bills gifted in any way, shape or form. If Allen can develop some consistency in terms of progress and this coaching staff learns that it’s ok to play like you’re behind with a lead, then the strength of schedule isn’t an issue -
Duke Williams played more snaps than Cole Beasley
buffalo2218 replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Late in replying to this, and this is rather puzzling from the Duke haters' perspective. I would understand the argument if Duke had played the whole season and getting more reps with Allen. All I'm seeing from the Duke hate boys is either he's not very good, or the almighty the coaches know better. If McDermott can give Zay Jones that many chances in 3 years, then be fair and give Duke at least one. Lack of reps and the guy still turned in a solid performance when he did play. Everyone saying he's bad because he missed a TD pass, does that mean Smoke should be treated the same after the drop against Baltimore? As far as hands go, I think Duke is as good if not better than our 1 and 2 WR. Then I read something that oh he celebrates after he makes a catch, so what? I don't care if he break dances after a catch as long as he catches the ball. He caught the game winner against the Titans and the over the shoulder catch against Washington wasn't exactly an easy catch in itself. I'm hoping he gets a legit chance next year -

Only difficult catch I saw that he didn't make was the throw to the end zone, not sure what game you were watching, but he made a couple of good catches for first downs when he was blanketed. His hands are more than adequate for an NFL receiver -

buffalo2218 replied to 2020 Our Year For Sure's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Zay Jones got a ton of chances with no apparent signs of good enough hands for an NFL receiver. 3 years with that many games and got a pass with that many drops, and we can't give Duke a full season? As far as Green goes, yeah he's been a fantastic receiver, but we've dealt with a certain injury prone receiver in Watkins. I get that the comparison is night and day, but shelling out a contract to Green with him being that fragile just doesn't make sense in the long run -

Hmm, yeah Lawson does have that option. Still none too comfortable with Murphy coming back, maybe they will pursue that DE from the Jags -

I couldn't begin to fathom the logic of keeping Murphy over Shaq. Lawson was already a good run defender, but his sack total went up quite a bit. He's earned an extension IMO -
Hard pass on AJ Green, too far up there in age. Derrick Henry would be the best choice as far as FAs go, but I don't see Beane willing to pony up that kind of money for a RB. There's gonna be a huge bidding war for him

For years, so many judgment calls that showed the call wrong have been like that. If the official called what the KR did a fumble, and even signaled a turnover, then because O'Brien boo hooed about it, he reverses his own judgment call? On the way home from the airport, I was listening to CBS radio. The broadcaster was like the Bills were incredibly jobbed because of that. I don't really want it to go down as a blown call personally, it makes the loss that much worse

What Changes will be made this Offseason?
buffalo2218 replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's gonna be hard for Allen to improve if we have a coaching staff that plays scared, or plays not to lose. Daboll has to go and I'm praying Cleveland takes him off our hands.
