Hmm, how should I put this? ***** NO!!! First of all, nobody is going to trade for a guy coming off a broken leg. we'd get pennies on the dollar. Second, Cookie is the best pure LB in the NFL (YEAH, I SEDDIT!!). We give him a chance to come back. Hopefully they don't Von him and run him out there before he's 100% ready.
I think the main reason they wanted Bates was for the versatility. He could play any interior line position and even took a few reps at tackle if I remember right.
We're gonna disagree here. Many college athletes never even got their degree, but this argument was successfully used for decades to deny the athletes their due. It also didn't address the vast disparity between the "value" of their education and the amount of money raked in by the colleges and the NCAA.
NIL was long overdue. If it keeps kids in college, good for them. Easier to have a degree in hand then have to go back for it.
Like Curt Flood, Ed O'Bannon will not profit from his legal victory. But college athletes can no longer be exploited for billions by colleges and the NCAA. At least now they can get a piece of that pie.
Yet another scathing indictment of the Bills brain trust. This draft better be heavy offense. Time to go all in on Josh and the offense, while eschewing middling high defensive picks, like Basham, Rousseau, Epenesa, etc.
