As the curator of the Predict the Score thread, the vast majority of the picks are not for 40-point Bills victories. The Chargers thread was unusual in that about 98% of the picks were for the Bills, and by comfortable margins. Most weeks it runs about 70-30 Bills, depending on the opposition, with margins usually within two scores. This week, I felt that the team had found a winning formula against Dallas, and would continue to build off that. Instead, the defense that held Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and co. to nearly no points, allowed Hockey and the Jets to control the ball and score 22. The offense that had rolled one of the best defenses in the NFL the previous week, allowed the Joey Bosa-less Chargers D to push them around for 4 quarters. Football is a week-to-week game, but I fully expected the Bills to take control of this one early and cruise to an easy victory against a team that was inferior in all phases. Oops.
As far as to whether we watch football, I assure you we do. We saw the Chargers destroyed the previous week while the Bills rolled one of the best teams in football. We expected the Bills to roll one of the worst teams in football, but it didn't happen. To denigrate those of us who picked the Bills to win big in the Predict the Score thread is a cheap shot. I will never understand posters who seem to delight in putting down their fellow TBDers. It makes this board less fun.
