Seen comparisons between two RBs first years. The OL/game plan was very different which is partly why Motor digressed. In Motor's 1st year guards like Quitinn' Span created holes for RBs to run but last year guards concentrating on redirecting rushers to give Josh time to throw, dodge and scramble so performance of all RBs was down. Josh also takes runs which normally would be run by RBs so I think this makes their performance look worse.

I saw Allen as perfect QB for Ravens - they had a starter which was aging but had similar attributes - which would give him time to develop and be schooled in NFL style football. It was clear the head coach of Wyoming was a good coach but had limited resources. What I missed was Ravens' philosophy of using a shot gun rather than sniper rifle and not being willing to spend resources to move up in draft.

NFL has changed rules many, many times so focusing on Canadian rule changes make no sense. Did NFL make changes to spite CFL? There are some rules I think XFL would adopt from CFL in any merger and would have less issue than CFL although CFL seems to be looking (as do some CFL teams) are looking for new blood. I do think the XFL owners may able to bring capital into CFL including new advertisers and sponsors. I thought Ravens were going to trade up to get Allen. He is type of QB they usually signed - tall, strong, big armed and perfect replacement QB who sits a year. Never figured Ravens were going to take a RB as QB, generally not their style. Too Tebow-ish. Darnold seemed to type teams liked and not want. Another CA QB. Could not figure out Baker Mayfield. Texas QB did not seem to fit AFC East. I was worried we would get Rosen as leftover and generally hate California QBs and completely unsuitable for AFC East.

There is a player Laurent Duvernay-Tardif who graduated from medical school in college (good way to pay for it) and was fourth medical school graduate to play in the NFL.

I got a job interview via subcontracting agency, interviewed at company and was given offer. Ends up I knew people working at company. I agreed. Later subcontractor came back and said company wanted me to work at a different location more than 30 miles further and I told agency that is not job I agreed to; other job was so close I could go home for lunch. Team only gets rights and player can choose to not sign with team. A player can also choose not to play for team chosen and choose to go into draft following year. The player will get lots of opportunities to hear which teams they will be willing to sign for. Players also are required to abide by union bargained pay scale. I am surprised some talking head has not spoken against players being required to be represented by union even in right-to-work states.
