  1. There are damn stats, weak stats and stats which criteria are crafted to get wanted results. In advanced statistics class in college professor gave us an assignment and data set. We were told to provide set of criteria with same set of data to get three specified results. Most could only get 1 or 2 of of wanted results but I got all three. When asked by a student in class "What is the use of this exercise?" Professor said you may have an employer which wants certain results from testing and you will be responsible for fitting data (skewing) to expected results.
  2. Not a good way to describe him. He is (or was) a fan and felt Washington was moving slowly and acquired them to prevent others from doing so. I have seen the letter at work he sent but it appears that $nyder does not want him involved and would rather have his attorneys and PR bastard. Maybe new owners will be more willing to work with him.
  3. Perfect because IN is so popular and JUN is the currency of North Korea linking back to old name the Washington Commies.
  4. Micro$oft thought same thing. Internet Explorer was originally going to be called Internet Exploder as Micro$oft was going to explode into internet business. Micro$oft did lots of work on designing the IE logo and marketing but when testing should their product was going to crash frequently it they realized that headlines in the business would be about Micro$oft's browser exploding do they changed it from Internet Exploder to Internet Explorer so they could keeping marketing material, logo, etc. They failed to do proper trademark search and did not know or ignore findings on a small company's product which was trademarked Internet Explorer. When a trademark complaint was made Micro$oft tried to sue original trademark owner for patent infringement, lost in court and just repeatedly appealed and tried to exhaust trademark holder of funds. This repeated through many levels of court with some pitching in to original trademark owner. Eventually courts refused to hear more appeals and demanded Micro$oft pay original owner hundreds of millions of dollars in fines. After Micro$oft paid they negotiated with trademark owner even more for right to use name. Money does not always work in trademark fights unless it is someone who is trademarking names and has demonstrated no intention of use. I work for USPTO but not in trademark / lawyer section.
  5. They should take a name out of their history: Last team to integrate under pressure from Kennedy Admiration "We’ll start signing Negroes when the Harlem Globetrotters start signing whites." George P. Marshall He capitalized on segregation building a network of TV stations in the south. Interior Stewart Udall forced issue saying new stadium on public land might not be available. Took money out of proceeds to raise money for war widows and orphans (Fight for Old DC: George Preston Marshall, the Integration of the Washington Redskins, and the Rise of a New NFL) Front office sexually harasser staff Only team to charge admission for practices which allowed opposition teams to send scouts and cameras.
  6. Maroon is very appropriate: Not sure where yellow comes from. Keystone Kops did not wear yelow.
  7. They cannot name them the Washington Idiots. Those mentioned above might think it refers to them and they would be right.
  8. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/05/20/opposition-increases-to-new-fair-catch-rule/ IF the new rule was utilized it would make punters who are corner coffin kickers and good squib kickers even more valuable. Moorman was one of them.
  9. WFT now trademarked but WTF is available. I work at USPTO and knew this was coming. Two? I wonder who else did it.
  10. I have Amazon Prime and I'd not call it a perk when prices were raised.
  11. Reading stories on him and games makes me think Brant Kuithe will be another top end TE next year which will make Dalton Kincaid happy. I would not be surprised if they train together during offseason.

I can answer one of your questions. He will reveal how he gets his head so shiny when he gets an endorsement deal. Well NFL changed rules make 1/4 of it useless.
  13. Yes and there are a lot of rules which teams follow the letter of rules but not spirit which gives them a competitive advantage.
  14. Your husband might know some friends of mine. Multigeneration Browns fans who sat in the "Dog Pound" during years Cleveland was without a team.
  15. The offense last year was repeatedly ranked higher by outside evaluators than Bills fans. Some will say because fans spend more time looking at them and others will say it is because fans are more critical and do not see holes in other teams lines.
  16. I can understand that if their team made a morally objectionable decision and they could no longer be a fan of that team. I know several Browns fans who got rid all of their stuff for Browns with one of them being a Browns fan prior to moving to Baltimore and being fan of no team in interim period. I know some Washington fans no longer being fans anymore with one who burned their jersey and hangs it as a flag on their car. I can understand some not agreeing with their stances but their definition of ethics is probably different.
  17. It may benefit tv view who pay for Amazon but it takes away game from fans who would be able to watch game on weekend and not pay Amazon. Change was made to benefit Amazon and likely was agreed in principle when Amazon signed contract. Not all 95% of fans have Amazon. You are exaggerating to try to strengthen you point which is a sign of a weak argument.
  18. It is about the fans but not those who buy tickets. I think the year without fans most games changed attitude of some owners about fans in stands. Many people buy tickets months ahead of time on non-refundable tickets. Also not everyone can just take a weekday off and if you are coming from a distance two weekdays off. There are employers who require multiple week notice for time off. TNF Fever is not a valid medical excuse.
  19. Dean Marlowe was signed again, As someone whose name is constantly misspelled Bills posted update about signings yesterday: https://www.buffalobills.com/news/bills-sign-safety-dean-marlowe-and-tight-end-joel-wilson
  20. Very stupid rule change. Waiting for a team to get used to a fair catch and then returner fakes a fair catch and takes it for a touchdown.
  21. Most of NYC is closer to NJ than it is rest of NY state.
