Cade York who was just let go from the Commanders for being god awful and missing kicks in the opener. Lol.

I’m glad they are giving Bass a little wake up call here with these kicker workouts, but I’m highly doubtful they will find anyone worthwhile on the kicker scrap heap. Hopefully Bass becomes a little less comfortable and starts kicking better. If so, mission accomplished.

Commanders' Cade York released after 2 missed field goals, marking fifth kicker to leave Washington this year - CBSSports.com.Sep 9, 2024

    Carlson

How many kicks has Anders Carlson missed?

“He's got to improve,” Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said earlier this offseason about Carlson. “That's important.” Carlson missed more extra points (six) and total kicks (13) than anyone in football in 2023. He also missed at least one kick in his final five games and 10 of his last 12 contests.

It looked like even after Tua ran into Hamlin, the back of his head bounced off the turf when he came down.........so he got a little double dose there from both sides.

Twisting of the head causing brainstem issue is more likely issue from what we have seen.  The head trauma will cause headaches,  vision and other issues.

I thought Benford would be a developing safety when they drafted him.  I thought that they would develop him behind MH as our next center fielder.  Since, he and Poyer, were both college corners I thought that's what they were going for.

Instead he has truly looked like a stud and the true 1st round corner that the coaches wanted Elam to be.

Elam must be thinking "What a, I doing wrong? Can I not play in this scheme?"  for the coaches can clearly coach.

Andy Dalton is one of those guys that we can’t get rid of. There’s some guys that have a knack for hanging around even though they’re just average

Average talent and willing to follow pan and directions is better than more talent and not willing to change to make team successful.

Gotcha. I can write the owners of the ballot if you would like.

It is type of thing which turns off voters.  If you pass on info to your supporters they can avoid issue so it is up to you. Doesn't look like a computer glitch.

There was literally nothing wrong with baker in Cleveland. I really don't understand. The guy wins everywhere he's a good quarterback

Baker is.  If he improves just a touch, he can become over rated.

They'll be a decent team with Dalton.

    It's Week 2.

Make no mistake, he was bad in Cleveland.

Baker was not ready for NFL so Head Coach brought in Alex Van Pelt to retrain him.  Alex has been known as a keen evaluator of QBs and defenses for a long time.  His ability to audible was taken away until he could identify right reads and then added back gradually.  Baker was a much better QB but offense was having issues which was head coach's expertise and he convinced GM they were a QB away from contender so Browns jumped in bidding for QB and committed to fully(*) guaranteed contract.

Baker went to Bucs where he showed it was not his issue but Browns and Bucs are reworking offense to fit him.

Thanks for the vote! So sorry to hear about Rich.

Rich Ulinski was one of the few people I recognized on it so when I filled ballot I selected him; sometimes if you vote for only person they reject it.  Then I discovered rejection (unavailable) and needed to find all of places I picked him.   Fix damn ballot.

It also makes it easier if nobody is actually watching to learn about the weather.  🤷‍♂️

That studio should have stimulated weather - sometimes she get wet from rain and sometimes wind raises skirt.  I am sure it would raise ratings.

We have two major anniversaries coming up for the Buffalo Bills, this year being the 60th anniversary of the Buffalo Bills's first championship, won on the 26th of December, 1964 at War Memorial Stadium, or rather what we call it, The Rockpile, by the final score of 20-7.

I think it would be not only be quite an accomplishment to win a Super Bowl championship but to also do it while some of the members of that team are still with us. For those who know about our storied history in the American Football League and some who actually went to games at The Rockpile, to see those players celebrate with all of us would be a very emotional event.

These are the men who gave us our first championship that are still with us:

    1. Wray Carlton
    2. Willie Ross
    3. Bobby Smith
    4. Glenn Bass
    5. Ed Rutkowski
    6. Stew Barber
    7. George Flint
    8. Billy Shaw
    9. Ron McDole
    10. Butch Byrd
    11. Hagood Clarke
    12. Oliver Dobbins
    13. Booker Edgerson
    14. Eugene Sykes
    15. Pete Gogolak
    16. Paul Maguire

    GO BILLS!

Having 16 Bills players (37%) surviving to 60th anniversary game is amazing.

The winning Bills split their players' shares for the title game 43 ways for $2,668 each.

    $2,668 in 1964 is worth $27,092.77 today

I was actually thinking KC wouldn't get the breaks/calls this season.

Guess that theory is already debunked haha

Pats Dynasty now Chiefs Dynasty never seems to get called for Holding on either side of the ball

Allows them to be more "physical" competitive advantage

Maybe I'm wrong and the data doesn't back the claim....but it really feels that way week to week

I used to work with player who used to be on New England practice squad.

A great deal of New England's success was film study on each Zebra knowing what they called and what they let go.

They were also teaching players to be aware of Zebra position and not have violations not seen by Zebras while doing it.

Not sure what Chiefs are doing to snew calls.

I think they're learning to work around it, Mahomes gets the ball out quick most of the time and they lean on their run game with Pacheco and short passes to the perimeter to stretch defenses and get YAC. Their play design on offense seems to always result in someone getting lost and finding an open spot in the zone. You still can't really blitz Mahomes easily and he's a master at eluding the rush and sensing where pressure is coming from, he's also still quite mobile and if you whiff on him he'll take off or roll out and find someone open on a scramble drill.

I mean look at the game, they turned it over 3 times, Mahomes played pretty meh all things considered and they STILL found a way to win that game by forcing CIN to FGs and always keeping the score close.

Well Mahones' offense have 18 men on field; they have not been able to convince some of them to start red and yellow from their usual black and white.

Huntley famously made the Pro Bowl after the 2022 season despite playing in just six games for the Ravens as an injury fill-in for Lamar Jackson. Only four of those were starts, with Huntley playing some middling football for Baltimore, although he did manage to keep their playoff hopes afloat and actually help the Ravens sneak into the postseason.

He was 4th alternate after everyone else decided not to attend.

Pro Bowl title has as much meaning as MVP does and no coincidence that he was backup to Jackson with same extras.

His demeanour is certainly most annoying. And I really don't see evidence of him being a good HC. The most recent example is the terrible mis management of the clock prior to the half against us. I was surprised (and pleasantly so) when their approach was so lackadaisical at that point of the game, down by a lot.

He is a better OC than HC, my bet is he is fired after this season.

Do not think so.  Ross will not want to pay out the money for him not to work.

Ross will likely put pressure on him to have an Assistant HC who will be responsible for portion of team but he will keep his title.

If he wants to quit that is different and he can say they need a different HC post injury.
