Northwestern has played well in back to back bowl games. Both games were lost in OT. Kafka has played very well, is intelligent, mobile, and a leader. NU offense has been among the best in the big 10 while Kafka was there. I'm not saying he is Peyton Manning, but he has developmental potential. After Bradford and Claussen, he has as much chance of success in the NFL as any other QB in this years draft.

I hope we can trade down. Some team may be desperate for a WR and would trade up to take Dez Bryant. I do feel this mock draft is highly likely with both QB gone and Bulaga gone.

In this mock we acquire a head case OT and a mediocre NFL QB whose only pupose is to sell tickets. If this projection arises, I hope we try to trade down in the first round.

The Unrestricted FA is very limited this year due to uncapped year. We have alot of players that don't fit into our new scheme or are expendable. We could recoup draft picks or players at positions of need. We could also consider moving Marshawn, but then we would have to acquire another good RB.

Shaun Rogers would be a great signing. I would trade Whitner and McCargo for him in a heartbeat. We need bigger LB and D Line to play a 3-4.

I think Guy will eventually get the boot. Gailey has worked with Modrak in the past and I suspect Modrak stays. The coordinators are critically important.
