  1. I keep reading how this publication picked the Bills 3rd, this web site had us 4th, etc, etc. Why do we care? It doesn't really matter. With today's NFL you just don't know who's gonna be that surprise team. Honestly, did anyone actually see Ben Roethlisberger going 14-0 in the regular season? Did anyone see the Rams winning the Super Bowl a couple of Years back after their starting QB was injuried during the preseason? Did anyone see the Pats becoming a dynasty when they signed Bill Belichick? We should even bother with this crap. Read and let it go. At the end of the day, the only ones that can control anything are the 53 players and 10+ coaches. I feel the Bills will struggle this year. 7-9 at the best because JP will make his mistakes like almost every young QB. However, with a few breaks they could be 10-6, with a few bad ones they could be 5-11. That's the NFL. and it's why we love to watch. Keep the faith and GO BILLS!!!
  2. Great, can he actually hit an open 15 foot jumper?
  3. I don't have a problem that TO wants a new contract, Bruce Smith did this all the time. But its the way he is going about it that is all wrong. You never win drawing a line a sand and saying, I won't do this and I won't do that unless..... If he had done this quietly, Phily may have shown more willingness to work with him, but when he grabs a bullhorn (well TO doesn't need a bullhorn), and shouts at the clouds, he blew any chance he had to win!
  4. I just heard TO speaking on ESPNews. "He's doing this because it's what's best for his family. I don't really have to play for the Eagles, I can go for any other team." I thought agents were suppose to be intelligent. If so, why don't they advise their clients to never say that." "If we can't reach an agreement we can be adults and they can trade me, release me." I guess TO has never heard of the salary cap, because if he had, he'd know there is no way Phily can trade him one year into a seven year deal. He also basically said he'd like to play in Atlanta. Man, this is one great football player but one giant @$$hole. He should learn to just shut up and let Drew do the talking.
  5. Come on, you just had to know they we're going to give this blabber mouth his own platform. The guy loves the sound of his own voice and if he ever had an orginal thought I'd just about die of shock.
  6. I guess you never got drilled with a free kick moving 80 mph. I did, right in the face, and I'll tell you it hurts. Ever been kicked hard in the legs, or the back of the ankle? That's definately not a great feeling. Soccer players aren't as whimpy as you think! My mom was a nurse for 35 years, 17 in the ER and 18 as head of the receovery room (post surgery), and she said the work sports injuries she ever saw always came from soccer. 7 knee surgeries from the sport. Takes a heavy toll. Soccer is a great sport but if its not your cup of tee, don't watch. There's always something else on!
  7. I went to the Wednesday show (I think it was on a Wednesday), anyhow, it was the 2nd of the 3 shows. It didn't start until after 10:30 because the Toronto Symphony was playing a show set to fireworks at Ontario Place. It was crazy, 55,000 people all lining Lakeshow Blvd to watch the most amazing fireworks display I have ever seen, plus you could hear the symphony playing. Following that was a fantastic Pink Floyd show. It ended around 1:30 am. Just crazy, I didn't get home until 4:00am. Words can't describe how great they are in concert. The light show was incredible. I'd love to see one more large scale PF show. I was also at the show in Toronto in 1989, Thunder tour and that was equally fanastic. The two best concerts I have ever been to and I've been to around 155 in all.
  8. "Where have you been all my life?" "Hiding from you!"
  9. In Event 28 Gabe Kaplan (who played Mr. Kotter on the 70's sit-com "Welcome Back, Kotter") finishes in second place, earning $222,515. Wow, Mr. Kotter!! way to go! Anyone have any idea what the rumors 1st prize will be for the main event?
  10. the guys is an ass. The NHL should just ban this idiot and publically say he doesn't speak for us!
  11. I ended up scoring a goth. wow, nothing could be farther from the truth!
  12. Boy does "holding on #72" bring back some serious memories. How many times did we hear that in the early 80's?
  13. Is it just me or is Michelle Wie just plan hot? oh wait I can't say that she's only 15! OK, she'll be hot in 3 years right now she's just damn cute!
  14. off the top of my head: Midnight Run Pirates of the Caribbean Goodfellas Snatch Heat Rounder Gladiator Patton
  15. OMG, I can't stop laughing....that was damn funny! thanks for sharing
  16. AFC East : New England (Gotta Be Realistic) AFC North: Pittsburgh AFC South: Indianapolis AFC West: San Diego WC1: Baltimore WC2: Jacksonville NFC East: Philadelphia NFC North: Chicago (I'm insane) NFC South: Atlanta NFC West: Seattle WC1: Arizona WC2: Detroit Buffalo 7 - 9 (JP will take his lumps) Super Bowl prediction: Indy vs Atlanta (two dome teams - yikes I must be insane)
  17. There are several scenes that are not appropriate for younger children. The move is loud, violent and somewhat evil. I would not recomend it. When my wife and I saw the movie someone brought their two young children and they started screaming and crying and the parents had to take them out of the movie.
  18. I'd don't support one. Though I would never burn my own flag in protest I do feel you have the right to as part of your freedom of speech. I also don't support a new constitutional amendment that would allow foreign born individuals to run for President. Therefore no Arnold in the White House!
  19. Now that Cleveland has released veteran tackle Ross Verba, is there any reason the Bills shouldn't try to sign him? We appear to need to the line help.
  20. I always thought the white helmets were totally lame. The old logo was OK, but I like the current logo and I for one wouldn't want to see a change.
  21. 1. I moved out of WNY because I couldn't land a teaching job. I had several interviews and process never seemed fair. I interviewed with seven districts in NC nad received three offers. All i wanted was a chance to teach, and NC gave me that chance. 2. I ended up moving to SE NC about an hour from Wilmington, a place called Lumberton. I now live in Fayetteville. 3. NC never quite fells like home but I met my wife down here, have a new family started, so I have adjusted well. I feel there is less politics down here but far too many of the people are two faced. They claim to be all religious and rightous but they lie and cheat and talk about you behind your back. NY is a bit more straight forward. 4. My wife and I, she's from Attica but we met in Lumberton, both would like to move back the question is for what? The area is dead economically and politically its a nightmare. Where is the leadership! Once elected the best intended fool just becomes another cog in the wheel. No one makes any decisions, ie the Peace Bridge, and nothing ever changes. 5. Changes I would make. For starters, save a ton of money by starting to combine shcool districts. Create 4 or 5 major School districts in Erie County and have the other countries create 1 or 2. That alone would lower propery taxes because millions would be saved. WNY has way too many repetitive services. Why does small Niagara County need 10 school disticts? The county's population is only 212,000! Down here I live in a county with 309,000 and we have one county school distict. It has 10 High Schools, 15 Middle Schools, and countless Elementary but we have one Superintendant, not 10! Erie County would be more difficult to combine with places like Clarence, Amherst, Williamsville and Orchard Park not wanting to share the pieces of the pie. That's why you may need to create several. A norther district for Tonawanda, Kenmore, etc. A southern distict for all places south of Orhard Park, a Central distict for Buffalo and some surrounding places and a eastern district for the more rural places like East Aurora, Clarence, Alden, Lancaster, etc. Hey anything is better than continuing to do nothing! That's my starting point. They did it down here in NC in 1989. My friends say it was mess but within 3 years the problems starting straightening themselves out and now everything is fine.
  22. I've mentioned this in the past. The NFL could solve this problem easy enough if they wanted to. Send an entire division on bye together and then the next week have division games played for those teams. It is a serious disadvantage to play teams following their bye weeks. Simple fact, and the Bills have had to play more teams coming off their byes in recent years than anyone else. I'm not complaining, I'm making a point. How many years in a row does this have to happen before it changes?
  23. Basically, I'm a 100% Bills fan and a 0% fan other 30 other teams. I can't possibily think of a situation where I'd want Miami or Dallas to win. However, living down here in North Carolina, I have developed a soft spot for the Panthers. Though they will be the enemy when they play the Bills, but the other 15 weeks, I want them to win and do well.
  24. That's of course why a dog needs attention all the time and have to be house trained and a cat, just does what they do, without a care in the world. The common house is also considered the greatest killer of all felines. There's a reason why cat were sacred in Egypt! Try and figure it out! Dog have masters Cats have servants
