  1. I never heard or read that anywhere. Steve Young's mother turned him down...........
  2. The problem is that she does open her mouth!
  3. My God, did Steve Youngs dad go on long enough? He must have talked for 20 minutes. I didn't need his entire life story.
  4. Sounds like you have tried to different things but honestly, how strong can your relationship be if your bored because you can't go out drinking?
  5. I'd be shocked if people actual expect JP to be great right away. Like so many young QB, we have to face the fact that he is gonna play like crap from time to time. he will throw the ball where he shouldn't, and make dump mistakes. It's part of learning how to play that position against players faster than we can imagine. However, we need to look and see if he is not repeating the same mistakes. If he can progress, week to week and learn from his mistakes then we should stick with him, winning or losing. I think we do him more damage if we pull him but that why the coach make tons of money. Furthermore, the season's success doesn't rest on his shoulders, it rests in the hands of everyone working together as a team.
  6. I always use "Live Evil" but then again, I love Black Sabbath and I am a bit twisted!
  7. The play of the O-line could make or break JP this year. If they can be a dominating run blocking team and hold their own pass blocking, then JP can help the team win. If they can't open up running lanes, then teams will pin their ears back and make life for JP and co. a living hell.
  8. Why does this "media report" not seem creditable at all? Probably because it isn't. I don't buy this for one second.
  9. Come on, has anyone evr heard Pittsburgh annoucers? The one old color guy has a super annoying voice, and he rambles about absolutely nothing. Very much like Madden does. Just horrible to listen to. I'll tell you, in hockey, the Florida Panthers have a terrible crew as well. I remember Denis Potvin (the Islander legend) go off one night on Eric Boulton. The guy has no business in this league. Has he ever watched Peter Worrell? He couldn't skate backwards as a 17 year old in juniors? It was just unprofessional. Anything that Marv Alberts does is worse as well!
  10. I loved the 1st play of the Bills second series. It was a 15 yard completion to Campbell that was simply a brillant play design. Multiple guys in motion, I thought I was watching the old 80's and 90's Redskins. The play was successful because of the formation. Play designs like that will help JP be successful. Things I took out of the scrimmage: 1. JP can play. He made mistakes, over threw some, should have given up a pic for 6, but all that is to be expected. If he struggle we do have a quality man behind him with Holcom. 2. Bennie Anderson is a monster straightline blocker. He eats up defenders. I didn't notice Gandy. Big Mike didn't look overly great, I saw him make several good pass blocks, driving the player wide and around JP. Who is 74? The man is huge! Peters didn't show me too much. 3. Roscoe Parrish is excitiment in a bottle get the ball in his hands several times a game. 4. Blitz, blitz and more blitzes....this defense will attack. 5. Rashad Baker impressed. Look at our secondary, we appear to have lots of depth. 6. The TE didn't look as bad as I thought. Campbell and Neufeld I noticed, so maybe that won't be as bad as we hoped. 7. Lastly, Troy Woodbury appears to have a future in this league. The man has tons of athletic ability. Get hyim on the practice squad this and send him to NFL Europe in the Spring. He looks like he could be a great back up in a couple of years!
  11. I was impressed. Let's get a plan in place. 2005 Practice Squad 2006 NFL Europe 2006 3rd string guy 2007 back up The guy is just oozing with athletic ability.
  12. The only way he is ever gonna grasp the LT position is to play it. Sitting on the bench won't do it. Maybe the Bills should have sent this kid to NFL Europe. Maybe that's the plan for next year!
  13. Come, you can not be serious! Josh Reed is a complete joke. You want to deal him and a pick for someone franchise player. Please, just ask them to bend over. Maybe they'll do it just for fun! I'll pass on Simon because getting him will likely mean we can't afford to sign Clements and I rather have Nate for the next 5 years!
  14. RIP keep up the fight Jim..............
  15. Could they at least sign one of their own free agents?
  16. According to tsn.ca, the Flyers are over the salary cap right now! They should be allowed go over the cap regardless. TSN says babber mouth Roenick will be shipped to LA to bring them back under the cap. Would be nice to at least read that we lost out in biding for someone. However, I haven't read one creditable rumor about the Sabres and free agency.
  17. Wow, I don't know why I'm surprised that some lamebrain would already be willing to throw JP to the curb after just a couple of practices but I am. You need a valium, because maybe, just maybe, JP was a little overhyped. I bet he overthrows a lot of receivers this year and throw many god awfuls picks. But then again, that's part of being a rookie QB (and he's really a rookie). Let him learn, make his maistakes and hopefully learn from them. All good QB went through a nasty learning curve. god, after day of camp!
  18. Exactly what the hell is the question here? How well or badly was the outcome?
  19. If you have the time, I'd drive either over to the Outer Banks, Ocracoke island especially, or down to Wilmington. The downtown area long the Cape Fear River in Wilmington is excellent. Lots of shops and other things to do. Wrightsville Beach is only about 10 minutes away. Near Ashboro, which is between Raleigh and Charlotte, is the North Carolina Zoo. It's only $10.00 an adult and trust me, its worth it. You'll do a lot of waling but its a really nice place. Over closer to the Mountain, in Ashville, there's the Biltmore Estate. That really cool, if you are into the lifestyles of the outragously rich.
  20. Al Michaels and Dan Fouts
  21. One of the purpose's for PAETEC Park was the hold events like this. They have announced anything yet, but why wouldn't they use the stadium for an this event. The Bills have done a ton for the fans and holding night practices/scrimmages in a place that can hold lots of people make sense for the team.
  22. Down here in Fayetteville, NC 98 yesterday and suppose to be 102 today. Heat index yesterday was 105, today it could be 114. However, mid-80's by the weekend. It's so hot you don't want to go outside. Luckily everything in AC'd down here.
  23. It'll be cool next year when the night practices will likely be in the all new PAETEC Park, which should hold 17,500.
  24. You do know he was 14-0 as a starter last year until he lost to the Pats in the AFC title game? Remember he didn't start the season and Maddox beat the Bills the last game of the regular season.
