  1. well thats the beauty of this site as everyone has a right to an opinion. I doubt that the Bills will get rid of McDermott or do anything drastic with changing the roster. So we shall see if your premise that the cap is not a real hindrance proves out in the next two years. The one thing I would disagree with is I clearly stated I wanted to keep Allen so your comment about Trent Edwards was a bit disingenuous.
  2. Whike I am not advocate of moving on from Allen he has a point if one believes the Bills can't fill the positins of those over the hill or oft injured players in the next 3 years. One has to hope that Allen's level of play doesn't taper off as he hits 30 and beyond - he seems like a physical stud so i don't think it will but if it does the poster is not totally wrong with his assertion. Now having said all that, the Billls need to take a two year time out and jettison all that dead weight so they can field a complete team in 2026. Yes they'll miss the playoff but with some better draft picks and not falling into the trap of signing high priced free agents Allen could carry them back to the playoffs in 2026. Oh and they need a new coach but thats kind of a given.
  3. yep the officials are going make this an Eagles Victory
  4. kinda true but Cinnci's D is dreadful-cant figure out why the Bills had trouble scoring on these guys
  5. the one good thing about this game is the 4:25 start. By that time half the crowd will be drunk. passed, out and/or in the jail under the stadium. Even so can't see the Bills winning this. It will be close so hopefully the Bills catch some breaks. Eagles 22 Bills 17 Stadium Jail Celll 16,723
  6. thats the one big worry I have for this game as the Bills as a whole must be the worst tackling team in the league..Gilliam excepted..grade A+ hit in that last game
  7. and if we reveal their names we will have to kill you or worse make you consume the stew
  8. The turnover tumult continues....Jets 28 Bills 21...Bills get a TD in last minute of 4th quarter to make it 22 to 21...on side kick taken to the house by Jets. Jets miss xtra point but time runs out with ensuing kick offreturn..the misery continues and beer/hard liquor and Gummie sales go through the roof in WNY.
  9. I always like to get ahead the problem so my position is fire them before the game just in case there is a loss
  10. its really uplifting when some one finds a silver lining
  11. I think maybe going forward we need to make this the Good, the Bad, the Ugly and the "Billsy." After this latest 12 men on the field fiasco I think back to Mckelvin running the ball out of the end zone against the Patriots and promptly fumbling so the Bills who had a two score lead at the time could then lose the game in the last several minutes. I hope someone with better recall can create a compendium of "Billsy" moments over the history of Bills football.
  12. i wonder whether Elam is a total bust or if the coaching is just so bad that they can't utilize his talents in their D scheme. He probably is a bust but one can't say the Bills coaching staff is A+ and its all Elam. We'll probably never know until he starts playing for another team.
  13. While I agree with the sentiment that the season is probably lost there are several reasons why tanking is not going to work. 1) as stated previously no one in this organization's management is going to sanction tanking either overtly or covertly 2) these are professional football players with big egos - they are not going to run for the bus - at least not until the season is close to ending 3) gven Buffalo's draft pick history I don't think we can count on them making the right pick regardless of where they are drafting. I think back to when they drafted Ed Oliver at pick 9 in 2019; drafted after him were Burns, Wilkens and Lawrence all of whom seem to be better players. Olivers not a bust-bust but he is only sporadically impactfull and that is one of the Bills problems on the D line - no real everydown player who makes a difference. The decisions Pegula makes after the completion of the season will tell us everything about the future of the Bills. If he sticks with the status quo and allows them to keep tweaking the roster they will go nowhere with maybe an occassional playoff berth and out after one round. On the other hand if they do a tear down maybe with the right GM and coach they can get back to challenging in 3 years. The problem with the latter approach is one has to decide about Allen as he will be closer to the end of his career than the begining and whether he can take losing for three more years. I am glad I am just a fan as this seems like a good example of a Hobson's Choice.
  14. And special teams is also contributing to this horror show
  15. if they can get to the second half down only 3-0 the Bills still have a shot at winning this
  16. This game will probably result in several heart attacks and smashed beer glasses. Bills have late drive to score a TD with 15 seconds left to go up 24-23. Broncos get great special teams return, only to miss a 55 yard field goal as time expires. Someone forgets to tell Payton the ball doesn't travel as far at sea level. Final score Bills 24 Donkeys 23 Buffalo Emergency Rooms 15
  17. in an effort to continue a theme and taunt PatsfanNH.......SPELLING
  18. Note that only the Bills fans got the gibe...we may be saddled with a perennial also ran but darn us Bills fan are full of snark
  19. knowing how to spell
  20. I would love to see what Allen could do with a better than average O line. The Bills O-line is somewhere between mediocre and atrocious. I do agree with the OP's take that Allen seems to have trouble reading the D and especially those corner blitzes. However he is still an immense talent that simply deserves to have better players around him.
