    no need to apologize I got a bit too cute for my own good..I think the current state of the Bills is driving everyone crazy.....some of us go dark and irreverent as a coping mechanism..we are as fans rooting for  the same team no matter how much suffering that involves

      Thank you. I try to be really level-headed when people post or respond and I guess sometimes I get a little chippy and misconstrue intentions when that happens. So, I appreciate you reaching out, but I failed to see the sarcasm. And yes, you're right....these are dark days. I maybe wrong, but I am in the group that thinks during next off-season Beane will get the players on Offense to make a big stride forward.

       

      I don't think it an ALL be done in one off-season because of supply and demand, but I do think a big step forward occurs next year. And as much as I hate constant turnover, I think if the Offense is anywhere near this bad next year, I don't think McD should stay. I like him and I think he's a good coach, but player development is just as much your job as coaching / managing players. And in contemporary NFL, Offense is king.

    That's the problem though..will the game ever slow down for him? In watching a lot of his progressions and throws it just seems he doesn't see the field and process what is going on. As a Bill's fan I hope I am utterly wrong; I just get these visions of Losman ver. 2.0. In three years it will be one of two outcomes 1) all us so called arm chair GMs/Coaches will be shown we don't know crap or 2) everyone will question the efficacy of using all that draft capital on a risky project QB. It really doesn't matter what any of us think at this point as the Pegulas need to let this play out over the next 3-4 years and hope that McBeane knew what he (they) were doing.

    yes but is that penalty actually on Dawkins in terms of he lined up incorrectly or on someone else because they put him in a formation illegally-I guess I am not articulating my Q very well..I had to listen to the game on radio as we never get the game up here in the woods of Maine so I don't get a visual of what is going on.

    were any of those illegal formation penalties a result of Benjamin not lining up properly? I know Dawkins got called for one but I assumed that was because one of the WRs or TEs uncovered him and he ended up being an extra receiver as the refs saw it.

    I believe Allen is simply Losman ver. 2.0. Having said that I would use all that draft capital (including some trades of vets this year for extra picks in 2020 not 2019-we'll probably get one round better due to the delayed year) to bolster the the O and D lines and pick up a WR or two. I am probably a fossil but I think a team still wins in the trenches and I'd rather build those two units up and wait and see if Allen is as bad as I believe or as good as others hope. If Allen busts, the team will probably be picking somewhere in the top ten in 2020/2021 and hopefully there will be several QB candidates available to draft (then mortgage your draft capital ala Wentz to get that guy). If he doesn't bust then you have a playoff caliber team with tons of draft pieces left to fill whatever holes are gaping.

    well they beat the point spread I would rather see them win but this team offensively is historically bad so i am not sure winning is really possible this year......they really need another 4-5 quality players on the O...here's hoping for early round draft picks in the 1-3 rounds and that Beane doesn't trade away all his picks to move up two spots in the first

    I worry that we may have seen this movie before when they hired Greg Williams as coach..strip the roster, acquire draft capital and free agents and then never do anything with it vis-a-vis the QB. Not ready (year 2 is my panic contingency plan) to panic yet but after going back and watching Allen's performance I couldn't help but think of Losman's first game (I believe he got thrown in against the Pats) and he just looked lost; gun for an arm, great athleticism but just couldn't process the field. Hope i am wrong because I have at best ten years before I return to the mud and an tired of waiting (like I have a choice) for these guys getting their act together. To make matter's worse I am in Pats Land forced to listen to all the bandwagon fans and sports announcers.

    4 more wins probably a split with the Jets and Miami, a win against one of the Bears, Lions, Colts, Texans and drum roll - an upset of the Pats on Monday night

    such a Hobson's choice..maybe both teams will get food poisoning (non-lethal of course) and they both forfeit the game or at least puke all over the field and keep the grounds crew busy
