Bills Exposed 2023 Eagles and Now, 2024 Chiefs
theRalph replied to theRalph's topic in The Stadium Wall
KC isn't playing in the 2023 NFC East. -
The Bills, in their overtime loss last season, exposed the Eagles who had a 9-1 mark going into that game. After that, Eagles finished 1-5 and quickly exited the playoffs. The Eagles record had disguised their flaws, it was said. The 2023 Eagles reached a record of 9-1 with a points differential of 61. The Chiefs have managed to reach a 9-1 record with a points differential of 49...historically low for a 9-1 team. The Washington Post's Adam Kilgore has already identified the parallel between the 23 Eagles and 24 Chiefs. In KC's last seven games, three are divisional matchups. Four of those seven are on the road including visits to the Browns, Steelers and Broncos. The Chargers will catch the Chiefs and KC may well lose in the wild card..to a Chargers or Steelers team. So, like in 2023, the Bills have exposed a frontrunner that will stumble down the stretch. I think 30-21 was the playoff game this season.

Week 4 - Bills at Ravens Game Week Thread
theRalph replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Ravens got a false bump from playing KC so close. Then KC needed a PI call to beat the ***** Bengals, and just got by the….FALCONS?? Yes, yes, it’s only September and maybe the Chiefs are lazy early. But the pre-season predictions for both MIA and JAX were high. It’s not that the Bills beat ***** teams. The Bills helped make them *****. Meanwhile, after losing at home to KC, BALT loses at home to the RAIDERS….who then got their asses kicked by the VISITING PANTHERS????? Then, BALT gets up on the softie Cowboys but nearly surrenders the lead (if DAL gets the ball back at the end, everyone knows they’d have won). I know anything can happen…but based on the above: I believe the Bills will clown Baltimore in similar fashion to the previous two wins. -
More Impressive 2-0 Start: Bills or Chiefs?
theRalph replied to theRalph's topic in The Stadium Wall
This just in, Pacheco to IR. -
Perhaps the Chiefs just scrape enough to win. Maybe the Bills are just the champs of Sept. But KC's opponents thus far have a combined 0-4 record. And while 2 of those losses were inflicted by KC, Cin and Balt were favored by a combined 18 points to the teams they also lost to...at home. The Bills opponents to date have a 2-2 record. The Bills opponents were favored by a combined 4 points versus those teams they beat. KC has been home both games (with a rest advantage) while the Bills traveled on 3 days rest to Mia. Leaving reputation and expectation behind, Buffalo looks more impressive 2 games in.

great question

Can we petition the publishers of Webster's Unabridged Dictionary to include the word "Billsy" Adj. pronounced BILL-ZEE. Definition: A descriptor used to characterize continual abject failure, the magnitude of which being exceeded only by the utter originality of each iteration.

Can We End This Nonsense About Homefield Advantage Now?
theRalph replied to K D's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah. That. Soooo !@#$ Billsy. -
1. Get younger and cheaper. 2. Get a receiver who can separate and actually catch a long ball. 3. Find, my God, finally find a GAMEWRECKER on the D Line. EVERY remaining team has at least one.

Middle anything would have been nice last evening...

Because it's the same ankle he injured Dec 23 vs. Chargers. Read this..
-
Tyrel being available is huge. Douglas will certainly play. After seeing the details on TB's ankle, it makes far more sense as to how he can play. Finally, the fact that Taron is still in a red jersey (and in CP) but McD still says he has a chance to play tells me TJ will go.
-
Von Miller has been slowly, meticulously, working his way back from the injury. He's had a jersey for a reason, but not for improving his pass rush moves. His play has been intended, by the training staff, to callous the healed injury under game conditions. The Bills have not, for good reason, shown the Chiefs much with Miller. The playoffs—this game—is the reason he's here. A first for the Bills.

Isn't This Game the Ultimate Referendum on Beane?
theRalph replied to Rich Stadium Original's topic in The Stadium Wall
No...it's the AFC Divisional Playoff. Beane has already proven himself. -
There’s risk on every play but less on the field goal attempt.
-
Nope. Steelers aren’t expecting a knee there and you don’t want their D Line crashing that. Also chance for turnover or injury. They’re already up two scores. The point is to avoid a kick off return which was going to happen even if the ball was kicked 5 yards deep in the end zone. Score has nothing to do with it.
-
You fools. The 27 yard attempt at the end was missed PURPOSELY! The Bills are up 14. It’s 4th and goal from the nine. So you could go for the 4th and risk turnover or injury and nine yards there is tough. So you line up for the chip shot FG. By missing the kick you give the Steelers possession at their own 17. If you make the kick…you risk a big run back on the kickoff and, at the very least a touchback would have placed the ball at the 25…8 yards better for the Steelers….but Austin IIi was going to return the kickoff from even five yards deep. Not worth any risk. BRILLIANT STRATEGY BY THE BILLS.

No, that was art.
