Roster moves - includes release of Toohill
theRalph replied to Desert Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Kromer doesn't have a "particular type of guy he wants...". It's been made quite clear that he is an expert crafting custom linemen, using a player's specific strengths to make him great. He does not try to shove every player into a standard mold. -
What??? WTF is your definition of working out? He had a slow start. Hell, Coop wasn't even targeted Sunday. Is he ALSO not working out??
-
He'll be fine. He's still getting calloused.

There is a national narrative that Mahomes' high ankle is the just same injury he suffered vs. Jags in divisional two years ago, a game to which he returned. It is not. This injury is more serious. And yet, the Chiefs are reluctant to announce they'll sit Mahomes. They will maintain their pursuit of the one-seed is the reason. But the real reason the Chiefs fear sitting Mahomes is exposing to the league precisely what they are without him. KC has developed a mystique in its dynasty. This mystique keeps them atop power rankings. With the preponderance of one-score games won, this mystique gives the impression that KC pours out just enough rocket sauce to win...but has vast stores of it when needed. We hear how great the team is, with Mahomes having a rather low to middling season, yet so many wins. We constantly hear how the Bills are carried by JA17 and would be mediocre or less without him. Well, that's correct as it's a QB league. I submit KC has been carried by Mahomes and his absence will demonstrate how average the team actually is. And that's the last thing the mystique-riding Chefs want to become public. A Buffalo Bills Public Service Announcement

Last two games prove Allen deserved a dome

You're just making this up as you go along, right? These takes are inane and unfounded. I can't even call them takes. -
Last two games prove Allen deserved a dome
theRalph replied to Kingston Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is an over-generalized broadbrush regurgitation of a national narrative that developed Sunday night. Let's get specific: The most-common and annoying weather impediment to the Bills at home is WIND. Not precipitation. Not Temperature. Low temperature is actually an advantage for the Bills. The new stadium will be sheathed in a minutely perforated metallic skin. In fluid dynamics, we have something called a "boundary layer" which forms close to a surface due to friction when flow occurs across that surface. Perforations disrupt the boundary layer near-wall turbulent structures, causing them to lift away from the surface and creating pathways for lower momentum fluid to flow closer to the wall. The Bills at home in a dome is, to many of us, an utter sacrilege. So, the stadium skin will prevent turbulent flow from spilling over the cover panels and getting to the field. Wind will not be a factor in the new stadium - which should simply be called The Ralph. -
The Lions have got to be everyone’s second favourite team…right?

I live in SE Michigan. There is no comparison to be drawn between the fanbases. It's just not the same. Bills Mafia is unique. -
Thank you, Santa!

Hate Announcers? Here's How to Lose Them on Sunday Ticket
theRalph replied to theRalph's topic in The Stadium Wall
We provide our own commentary. When you know you can lose the announcers, your tolerance level for crappy ones approaches 0.0. -
I've been an NFL Sunday Ticket holder for decades. The switch from Direct TV to Youtube TV has been great, but I've discovered a hack (sort of) to improve it by removing the game announcers (desirable when, say, CreeperC is on the call). In my setup, I use Roku to access YouTube TV and my audio system is stereo, not 5.1 surround. In the Roku Home menu, you are able to go to Settings>Audio>Digital Output Format. Set that to "Auto", which allows reception of 5.1 surround audio. Then make sure you're TV audio system is set to deliver audio in Stereo. This works because the play-by-play/color analyst calls, in 5.1 surround, come out of the center channel. But if you're listening to the audio through a stereo setup, you don't get the center channel and don't hear the announcers. What you can hear is all ref calls, the crowd in the stands, and much more of what players are saying. And if you are in WNY, you could line up the Chris and Eric on the radio broadcast as well. #GoBills

What’s it gonna take to improve /prioritize our run defense?
theRalph replied to Jistafan's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills allow rushing yardage. It is a deliberate choice made in their defensive scheme. We've even seen Taron Johnson saying precisely this in a post-game presser. So, I agree with another response that stated "Tell Sean McDermott". -
The Jim Kelly Curse Casts Doubts on NFC Contenders
theRalph replied to theRalph's topic in The Stadium Wall
If the curse is true, Jalen Hurts and his Eagles aren't making the SB. -
The Jim Kelly Curse Casts Doubts on NFC Contenders
theRalph replied to theRalph's topic in The Stadium Wall
The JK Curse isn't about the Bills' four losses. It's about SB quarterbacks ever since. But thx for getting it. Most responses are not about the OP. -
We're all familiar with the Jim Kelly Curse: Since the Bills' four SB losses, no quarterback that has lost his first Super Bowl has ever played in another. If the effect holds true this season, that's bad news for the contending Lions and Eagles...both quarterbacked by curse candidates. Perhaps Goff is safe because his SB loss was with another club. Should the Bills advance to the SB and the curse hold, who might be their opponent. Vikings? Packers?

Bills Exposed 2023 Eagles and Now, 2024 Chiefs
theRalph replied to theRalph's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ya and the Chefs beat the Bills in the div when the Bills had to start a LB that was on the couch 10 days earlier planning a fam vaca..cause TB was hurt, amongst others. Too bad....TFB. No one cares about anyone else's injuries, including the teams themselves.
