Good debate through this thread. One thought: I think if Miami drafts Pitts, then it really fortifies the case of selecting someone like JOK. I mentioned Jamin Davis, as I read somewhere that he played well against Pitts. In fact, if Miami gets Pitts, it may push the Bills to go for BOTH an upgrade at boundary CB and hybrid LB/S. I'd wouldn't be unhappy with that.

There's a pretty clear top 21-22, then it gets interesting. OT Slater is in the top 10, btw.

Just looked him up on Brugler's list, and he has him as an R3 pick, #96 overall. Interesting prospect and good guess.

How is this possible? The Giants got him trading back with the Ravens in TSW Mock 2.0! @section122 I think our trade worked out to about the same "cost" for Brown.

Wish I could find the article, but I recently read that one of the reasons Jamin Davis is jammin up the rankings is how he was able to stay with Kyle Pitts relatively well. I assume that means he could stay with Kelce?

The Athletic released their top 300 consensus board using over 50 "Big Boards" to compile the list. My feeble attempt using 7 lists turned out to be pretty accurate for the top 31-2 prospects. Some comments: 1. While not the same order, their top 12 matches what I had. I also suggested their was a gap in the rankings between the 12 and 13, and their list certainly doesn't contradict that. 2. My #s suggested a second grouping from 13 - 21, and the only difference there is they have Moehrig in that group while I have Harris. 3. For the remainder of the top 31, the only differences are they have Bateman, and my list doesn't; Rousseau made my top 31, but he was #32 on their list. I guess the moral of the exercise is that you can get a pretty accurate idea of rankings if you just use a sample of 7 - 10 boards. I like Wallace a lot. Watching his highlights, he reminds me of Diggs.

The one thing for me is to come out with an upgrade for CB2 in either R1 or R2.

While a lot of people have expressed a "disinterest" in this draft, I think it's going to be one of the most interesting, for the reasons you stated. In playing with some of the mock drafts, some of the better outcomes come from trading back. If they can pick up a 2nd in 2022, then 2 R2 picks can get them close to the top 10. However... It looks as if the Bills think they have a legitimate shot this year, so that would suggest being aggressive and getting someone who can help immediately (CB, Edge?). Using their R2 pick could get them just inside 20. They could probably get Newsome here. Would Beane give up R2 and R3 for one player to move up a few more spots? Alternatively, Using R3 to move up in R2 gets them just inside the top 50, and the second tier of CB and Edge. The trade back scenario would put them in the mid 40s for the same group. All conjecture, and why I'm excited about this draft.

Yeah, that's why the Giants went with their BPA. I should add, there was a trade offer on the table, but the drop-off in grade on who the Giants would target by dropping back was too significant to accept the offer.

With the 58th pick in the 2021 TSW 2.0 Mock Draft, the NY Football Giants select Javonte Williams, RB, North Carolina. @BarleyNY and the Cleveland Browns are on the clock. While the Giants were looking to upgrade the WR2 position, Williams was just too good to pass up here, and gives the Giants a 1-2 punch at RB, and insurance if Barkley has any lingering issues from his injury or gets injured again. While the Giants have a few more holes to fill, GM Dave Gettleman feels good about filling his two most pressing needs: 1) rebuild the O-line; and 2) add an edge rusher. 1. With the trade back in R1, the Giants secured their bookend OTs in O Brown Jr paired with A. Thomas. Add in the mauler W. Davis at OG, and the Giants offense will take a giant step forward. With the improved line and the two-headed monster of Barkley and Williams in the backfield, it will open up the deep ball and Daniel Jones will have fun slinging it to Galladay, Ross, and Engram. 2. DC Graham will have fun moving around his new toy Ojulari and take advantage of teams that are rightfully focusing pass pro on Leonard Williams. In the weak NFC East, the Giants now have a great chance at a playoff spot. Having swapped their R3 pick for this pick in the OBrown trade, Gettleman can now enjoy his golf game uninterrupted for the remainder of the TSW mock draft...

With the 55th pick in the 2021 TSW 2.0 Mock Draft, the New York Football Giants select Wyatt Davis, OG, The Ohio State University. While the Giants had WR Brown on their radar, they are more than happy to add Davis who will immediately step in at G and help establish a dynamic running game with a healthy Saquon Barkley returning. @RyanC883 and the Seattle Seahawks are on the clock.

Yeah, this is always interesting with the TSW mocks, there are always some R1 prospects who drop into R2 who most likely don't in the real deal.

(From the #3 tee...) Trade! The NY Giants have traded pick 27 (acquired from the Ravens) to the Steelers of Pittsburgh for pick 24. The teams have agreed to swap round 2 picks. The Steelers get pick 42 in exchange for pick 55. With the 24th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the New York football Giants select Azeez Ojulari, Edge, Georgia. The Jacksonville Jaguars and @Newera are on the clock. On the move back from 11, the Giants were tempted to take a sexier pick in one of the top 3 WRs, but acquiring Orlando Brown Jr gives them bookend tackles to protect Gettleman’s franchise QB Daniel Jones. Most likely, they move Thomas to the right side where he can immediately unleash his all-pro potential (and it keeps Brown from whining). With Ojulari, the Giants land the last of, in their view, the top three edge rushers in the draft. Most of the Giants pressure in 2020 came from the dominant Leonard Williams in the middle. Ojulari gives them the outside pressure they need and is a nice fit in DC Patrick Graham’s multi-front schemes. Giants GM feels very good about taking care of two significant needs with their first round moves, and, most important, the trade allows him to get in his round of golf without the undue pressure of holding up version 2.0 of the draft

Given we'll see 5 QBs going in the top 10, some very good players will slide, which will make it more enticing for teams, especially since there is a drop off in talent in the second half of R1. I'd be shocked to see Parsons make it to 17, but I can certainly see a team or two trying to move up to 13 or 14 to nab him if he's still on the board. I think the real draft is going to be wild. Can't wait. I have my annual "meeting" April 29 with someone connected to the Bills, so I always try to pry a few nuggets. He said the McBeane era has really tightened the loose lips though.
