  1. What's an excise? He basically didn't touch the ball after the first half in the opener in his rookie season right up until an injury to the other rb halfway through his second year. It's not like he stunk...nobody knew cause he wasn't used. When he got on the field, he was very good. Oh well...your mind is made up. No reason to argue with you.
  2. Why? Fatties require less effort and they can be very fun.
  3. Lol...if he flames out, it'll be his first time. He didn't play his first 1.5 years, then his next 1.5 years, he was pretty much unstoppable. Last year, he was our leading rusher (and yes that includes more yards than the great one). I'm not quite sure why you hate him so much. I'm not putting him up on a pedestal...in fact i'm pretty sure that i said he can improve and doesn't belong with the child abuser and other great running backs. But to say he sucks and make up facts about his career just shows that you don't know what the hell you are talking about. He is without question, our most dynamic offensive player today. Watkins is right on his heels, but come on BRO.
  4. Ok dude. Obviously you are just going to say whatever you want to devalue our best player. Let's recap: 1. Spiller should get 4 yards per carry every carry...otherwise he sucks and kills drives. I can't wait for you to tell me about someone like this. 2. Teams game planned for the child abuser and other great rbs, but that didn't stop them. Fair, but who is putting spiller in the same breath as the child abuser, priest holmes, mccoy, etc? 3. Who was the featured back in his big season? It wasn't jackson...he only played in 10 games and had almost 100 fewer carries than spiller. Just to add...cj has a freaking 5 yard per carry average over his career. That would put him top 10 all time.
  5. The thing people forget is that stopping spiller is every opponent's primary goal. There is not a single player on the offense that scares teams. Last year and this year, every single team would take ej/thad/tuel slinging the ball a ton if it meant that spiller was stopped. He is the only guy that can kill a defense. Teams will happily face fred's heart en route to 40 yards rushing and 30 yards receiving every day of the week if it means that spiller has been stopped. Otherwise, why is jackson so incredibly open all the time for his screen passes? If he was the focal point of a defense, he would never be that open. Spiller needs to improve in certain areas, of course. But, i have also noticed that when spiller is the guy getting the majority of the touches, he plays much more comfortably than when he gets the ball 1 or 2 times in a quarter (crazy right? Imagine a guy improving with more time). And for god's sake, how about the occasional run or pass to spiller in the red zone. It's freaking crazy!
  6. So just like everyone's favorite player, fred jackson right? Cj has at least had 1200 one year If there was a rb who actually did what you are recommending, teams wouldn't need qbs because they would just take the guaranteed 4 yards every play.
  7. That was my biggest complaint...he is incredibly soft. He might be the least aggressive qb i have ever seen. That can't be changed. Great qbs have a killer instinct from day one...they may struggle executing early, but that trait is evident from day one. Who knows about orton...he can't possibly be worse. How bout them chiefs! Brady looks terrible this year!
  8. I am thrilled. I actually like orton...not a great player but he can win with talent around him. Watch our receivers instantly improve and actually be a factor. However, what i don't understand is how could the bills honestly believe ej was going to be good? Most fans knew the truth. Ej is timid and soft. He is trent in a bigger body. If the bills could give up on last year's number 16 overall pick after 4 games into his second season, why the hell didn't we draft another young guy as insurance in the 3rdish round when they were clearly so close to giving up on him? It feels like they just crossed their fingers and hoped he would pan out to save all their jobs. I can't imagine a scenario where all the front office sat around and said that 100% this is the guy. He had question marks all over the place. The bills acted like they were committed to him by getting the flashy receiver and ignoring insurance until the very last second, but they clearly were not even the slightest bit committed to him to pull the plug before his 15th start. Why pretend to be? Having said that, i am very happy because ej might be the softest player that i have ever watched in my entire life. After his 2nd injury last year, i was 100% sure that he would never be average. I'm glad they did it before the season was lost. It just makes them look so incompetent to go from being all in on him one month ago to throwing in the towel so quickly. They knew this was coming...most of us did so how could they not? Did anybody honestly think orton would never see the field?
  9. Let's hope so, but I'm pretty sure the players are done with him and will probably suck until orton comes in...then I predict a miraculous improvement. It's really strange how players play better when someone comes in to provide a spark...kind of like how everyone played much better (for a little while) when trent got the boot. Remember how terrible they all were for trent. EJ is a trent clone...except I think trent was more accurate and tougher...lol.
  10. Nah. I'm good. Feel free to not read my posts if I upset you too much. I would be really depressed if you choose to do that, but I should be able to pull through.
  11. I noticed that too. Chandler seemed to be standing there too long before that ball got in there.
  12. Lol. I'm not even criticizing him. I even said he is good and has value. He just isn't the best player on this team. Jeez man. A little sensitive are we?
  13. I always hear that fred has the biggest heart on the planet and that might be true...although I don't really know what it means. I think it means that he plays harder than everyone else or something. Maybe, but I think that insults every other player on the team. Either way, fred isn't even the best running back on this team let alone player. We have 3 pro-bowl defensive lineman, spiller, watkins, glenn...just to name a few. All these guys are better. He is valuable, fine. I agree with that, but he isn't the best.
  14. You have got to be kidding me. Best on the team and it isn't close? He is good, but come on man....oh and I don't say that because of his skin color just for clarification.
  15. Clearly sarcasm
  16. Yeah...I watched some. He throws with confidence down the field....puts zip on the ball. Doesn't float it like our soft qb.
  17. No. I am watching this vikings game and it is so damn frustrating. I am watching a guy in his first ever start going down field all day (with good accuracy) and playing with so much confidence. EJ will never have what it takes. Confidence, leadership, accuracy...these are things that you either have or don't have. EJ has none of those qualities. You know after the first drive what kind of a game EJ is going to have.
  18. Orton might not be rogers, but he is definitely capable of making basic plays that EVERY qb is capable of making. We could actually win consistently with him. The change must happen before the season is shot. Leave ej in for 2 more games and it's over. Make the change now and we have a real shot at playoffs.
  19. Not to mention that williams was basically jumping up and down like "hey....dumbass, throw me the damn ball! I couldn't be more open." He def had to slow way down to make the catch too. Every qb should hit that 100% of the time. It's like playing catch when someone is that wide open.
  20. You are giving the name bob a bad name by defending ej! That is kind of my point. Dropped passes are 100% mental. We had 0 through 3 games then 4 or 5 today. I wouldn't be surprised if watkins has had full seasons without the number of drops he had today alone. The clear frustration was with every single wr today. They were 2-1 in a very winnable game, yet they seemed to be frustrated and lacking focus in the first quarter when the game was 0-0. That's fair. The ball still came out like 40 times though and a lot of them were way off the mark. These guys want to win, but they aren't stupid either....they know that their next contract is dependent on their stats. I could look it up, but I bet woods and williams have less than 5 catches each in the last three games. Both dudes were probably expecting around 1000 yards this season.
  21. I agree with you. It's their job to suck it up. I can understand their frustration too though. They have very short careers and they likely aren't very interested in wasting 10-20-30 percent of it while a ****ty qb gets his time to develop. To me, this is much more telling to me than whatever gibberish the head coach spits out after the game. If the qb's wrs have quit on him, it screams that this dude will never be good. Those guys know what a qb should look like. Most of them probably played with better qbs in college. They probably hate how soft he is too. They are getting killed on terrible throws while he has a free pass from the coaching staff to protect his brittle 23 year old knees by not even trying for a first down when he runs.
  22. After every terrible throw today, you could see the frustration by our wrs. They would look back at ej like what the hell was that. I'm sure that they are getting tired of being set up to get destroyed and seeing passes that most college qbs could hit going 5 yards over their heads. And there was clearly something wrong with watkins today and it wasn't the rookie blues. I suspect that he came into the game expecting ej to lay a stinker and it impacted his day...or maybe he had something personal going on, but I bet it is the crappy, soft qb. I am pretty sure ej has lost this group.
  23. Your argument about the source of ej's problems is exactly why he should be benched. If nerves are that big of a deal for him, he will never pan out. Real nfl qbs don't let nerves slow them down. Hell, as crazy as this might sound, some great qbs actually live for the moments when most people would normally be nervous.
  24. Anyone know how many carries spiller had in the second half? Or why the !@#$ he doesn't play in the fourth quarter or red zone? I feel like i didn't see him in the 2nd half at all. He could have had a monster game today. He had holes and it was only a matter of time before he would have broke one.
