Dareus sent home for violating a team rule

@ChrisBrownBills McDermott: Dawkins to start at left tackle Saturday vs Ravens. #Bills @JaySkurski The starters will play "one or two" series into the second half, McDermott says. That includes RB LeSean McCoy. #Bills @JaySkurski Vlad Ducasse will start at right guard in place of John Miller this week, Sean McDermott says. #Bills Sounds like Tyrod is going to be in BIG TROUBLE for the better part of three quarters!

Sammy Watkins Trade on it's own and not from a draft junkie
cd1 replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the trade was based on $$ - it was only half the reason - IMHO Sammy (shoulder, ankle, rib, groin, hip, thigh, calf, ankle, foot) Watkins had other issues that I suspect were not totally behind him. He did admit in an ESPN interview that : WHY WHY WHY is he NOT IN SHAPE? FCOL ALSO - There is the whole injury thing... http://sportsinjurypredictor.com/player/sammy-watkins/6937 -

What happened to Peyton Manning? -
Yeah, It's not like someone stepping on Sammy's foot would cause him to miss games or anything - RIGHT?
-
How do you build chemestry when half of the formula is NOT there. Sammy is risking everything for himself and the Bills - immature and irresponsible. IF the Bills are entertaining offers - THIS IS WHY.

Rumor- Bills will entertain trade offers for Watkins?
cd1 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
REALLY? You think an athlete with elite talent has no aspirations to get in the HOF? Getting PAID on a team that is winning is not the same as excelling on a team. Some players actually aspire to shinny rings and gold jackets. -

What percentage of the 70% was he playing injured? - just ask'n -

The "Damaged" tag sounds true to me. Sammy has TALENT and physical ability BUT... It takes much more than raw talent. There have been many talented players that, once hurt, they play it safe. The HEART that they played with that made them GREAT, was lost. We all know that Sammy has talent - THAT is NOT the question. THE question is - does he still have HEART and is he willing to play with that HEART for Buffalo. OR will he just play it safe with catch (only if safe) and run to the sideline (so he does not get tackled). If his heart is no longer in Buffalo - I know it sucks - but you might as well let him go. Not sure if it was mentioned in this thread, but, Sammy has been out playing "pick-up B-Ball" and has not been cleared to practice - WTF? It is not JUST talent. You have to have your head and heart and talent ALL on the SAME TEAM. If B-Lo trades Sammy there is likely good reason. -
This is NOT just an NFL thing... This is a common practice used for economic development in most every community in every state. Rochester, NY has bent over backwards with tax breaks and other incentives just to lure in new businesses in an attempt to fill the void left by Kodak, et al. Big businesses ALWAYS use this leverage with communities. Tax Incentives and Subsidies: Two Staples Of Economic Development ...

Polian told by Bills exec Dareus must 'Ship up or Ship out"
cd1 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sorry - but that is utter bull ****! The man is PAID to play ball - NOT paid to help "if" we become winners. It is this kind of **** that sinks teams. If some don't have to carry their own weight others will also start "phoning it in". -

Help! Please talk me into McDermott - Can't See It
cd1 replied to Last Guy on the Bench's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think these are the reasons people are so enamored by McDermott - 1. He is NOT Wrecks 2. He is Not Whaley 3. He is not Brandon THE reason is mostly because he looks nothing like those other familiar things we've seen that results in LOSING. On top of all of the things McDermott is NOT he is, for now, all that our dreams can HOPE for. Today he is a dream come true. September will be the great awakening... THAT is what concerns me. We all know that the Pegulas are easily impressed and perhaps influenced. Wrecks took them for a short ride fortunately they got out fast. NOTHING says they are not being hoodwinked again only this time the stakes are MUCH LARGER. Sorry guys there have been a plethora of coaches come and go and we convinced ourselves to believe...(whatever). Here we are decades later - fool me once - can't get fooled again. -
See bolded text... Sammy is out playing pick up B Ball these days - all while the Bills and Bills Fans are holding their collective breaths on IF/ or How Long he will be able to play FOOTBALL this year. The kid is acting reckless in light of his history with the Bills. I do not hold out much hope in him.
-
Well, at least it is comforting to know that the Pegulas will be LEADING the search for a new GM - NOT. (JFC) REALLY?
-
We have this "pipe dream" of a coach until September - THEN we will find out WHO the real coach McDermott is. Until then - DREAM ON A great many of us fans have watched the revolving door of coaches for decades. Oh yes, we get hopeful, but then you know the rest of the story. It is one thing to give a HC a couple of years and if they don't work out - find another coach. NOW (it seems) that the new HC includes the whole enchilada! If McCoach does not work out - you have to FLUSH the WHOLE baby. Talk about all of your eggs in one basket.
-
... and we know - hands down - that who ever they hire next will be the best GM ever. The Pegulas couldn't possibly find someone who is worse than Whaley - could they?
-
The same here. NOW I see the DUMPSTER FIRE!
-
I'm right there with you brother! For those of you celebrating - just because Whaley is gone, does not mean the organization is better. The powers that be could replace him with someone MUCH WORSE. The Pegulas seem to be easily charmed - the Bills future is really just a crap shoot. $h!t

As did Wrecks...
