Getting the max contract was definitely the goal. By doing it now, he had more leverage against a desperate team and less competition than he would in FA next year.
I think it was less about them being below average QBs and more about them being douchebags.
Because it's not like Matt Barkley can say anything when it comes to QB play, but everyone loves him.
Nah, cheetahs are smallish and can't be expending the energy to play with their food. They kill quick. It's the bigger cats like the lions and tigers (and even a leopard now and then) that'll play with ya.
newcam2012 is right, the odds are more like 70/30.
Who's the Deandre Hopkins or Davante Adams of this draft? Hopkins was taken 27th overall and Adams was in the 2nd round. I don't remember them standing out physically, but they stood out with their catching ability (Hopkins) and route running (Adams). That Rice kid you mention seems like that kind of prospect.
It's not up to the HC to "fix Wilson." They need a HC for the entire team and culture there. You never know, Frazier might be the guy who can get Wilson into the right headspace, like Pete Carol was.
I'm pretty sure that he's eligible to return. Has been working out on the sidelines the past couple weeks. Nothing concrete has been said about when he'll be back, but it seems like it could be any week now.
I always compared Allen the most to Favre since the Bills got him. Not for physical reasons, but just his attitude and how he plays the game. He's like a mix between Favre and Rodgers. Considering how astronomical their careers were, it's crazy to think Allen will be approaching that some day.
He had an in with the Bills. If money is no issue, it's a simple assumption that he'd stay where he's comfortable, where is family is comfortable, and where their friends are.
To just assume he's exaggerating is so WEO.
