Despite the turnovers, he makes throws that I saw no other QB make this weekend and those have a bigger impact. In particular, those throws at the CBs whose backs are turned to Josh. That's so impressive to me. He did it last week on the throw to Diggs that was perfectly placed behind the CB and then this week on the TD to Knox that was perfectly placed ahead of the CB (and an equally amazing catch by Knox). That's not just great anticipation and throwing to a spot; it's perfection in every aspect of a throw: anticipation, accuracy, velocity, timing...everything. He couldn't walk up and place the ball any better. Just another new evolution to Josh's game.

Reminds me of a few years ago people saying "now that he's not on the Pats, I like him." My response: Well, then you never actually hated him for the right reasons. 😄

"Over a linebacker" makes it sound harder than it was. Fred Warner was sucked in DEEP to stop the run. He was nowhere near the ball. Aiyuk was wide open. That's what CMC has done for them. At the risk of making this an Edmunds thread, that's one play after which I immediately thought Tremaine would probably be roasted by some fans here if that was him. But it was Fred Warner, who is regarded as one of the best, if not the best LB in the league.

They definitely don't. It's just a common byproduct of the type of person they're looking for (disciplined and humble.) Chances are the majority will have some type of religious background.

If you're a 49ers fan, it's sure nice to know your coach can get it done with pretty much anyone. Similar to the Harbaugh and the Ravens, it feels like they could always be a contender as long as they're relatively healthy.

"Real deal" as in what? Is he a franchise QB? He doesn't do anything special. He just operates Shanahan's offense. Garoppolo, Mullens, Bethard, Tua in Miami...these guys have all operated the same offense well.
