Florio kinda rubs me the wrong way sometimes, but I do give him credit for just speaking his mind in those opinion pieces, no matter who is involved.

Seriously. People are naming coaches simply because of their roster, but it's not all about roster. Looking back, McDermott had a terrible roster his first year and got to the playoffs, broke the drought, completely changed the culture of a franchise. He got to the AFCCG in Josh's 3rd year. Was the roster amazing then? It was certainly much better, but wasn't on the level of other teams like KC yet. It's also a roster he helped build, so applicable credit given there. This year has been super rough on so many levels (strength of schedule, injuries, off-field hardships, weather,...) and he's done an amazing job. It's the full body of work, not just what kind of roster they had.

Yep, successful teams lose personnel faster. You need good people in the pipeline....and good people WANT to be in that pipeline. Josh Allen is going to make other people lots of money.

Yes, they can. Throughout the year they're ranked 23 in defense DVOA in the 1st quarter and then ranked top 5 in the other 3 quarters. So you ask "can they stop the leaks?" when they've already showed you all year that yes, they do stop the leaks.

Sounds like you're just projecting your own feelings. Players are friends with and respect all sorts of people. They're normal people like everyone else.

Never saw that. Gabe Davis showed more of a propensity for that than Hodgins.
