It looks like we're gonna get more variation, like the other leagues do, but one limit the NFL has is the number of games. They can only do so much with 17 games. And the league makes the contract with whatever clothing company they choose. I don't see that falling to the team level ever again.

I'd rather they look like crap The NFL brand is already super well-established. You can count on there being more uniform variance in the future.

The Bills spread it out. No other RB touches Barry Sanders in this offense. Since when does Allen like to dump it off? Lol

Been wanting a total rehaul of the logo and jerseys for a while now. The Bills have had two championship eras coinciding with two different logos/jerseys and it'd be fitting to have an updated look for the new era.

Kincaid should definitely surpass Knox in catches and TDs by year 2, if not by year 1. They gave up a first and fourth for him. He needs to be used and should be the #2 target behind Diggs. I like the flexibility of their personnel, but just wary of their commitment to utilize it. Supposedly Dorsey likes 12 personnel, but we didn't see it so much last year. They haven't liked to target Knox as much as they could have. Josh loves the intermediate and deep routes and how much time will he actually have to hit those to a slower TE. They'll need to come up with ways to mesh Josh's and Kincaid's tendencies and abilities. On paper, it doesn't seem as nice a fit as an elite WR would, but I love the potential.

It seems like a lot of the younger Bills players got tired of the old guys hanging around the facilities all the time talking about the glory days.

The biggest thing in hindsight was ruining Leia's exit. The sacrifice made by random what's-her-name purple-haired commander would've been the perfect ending for Leia. They seemed to lean into the strength of the female characters and had one of the strongest female characters in sci fi history on tap, yet chose some unknown new character for the big sacrifice...it had no weight.

I didn't even know he said that. Good on him for graduating. That hits the nail on the head, though. These guys only want to play football at this point in their lives. Most don't know what they'd want to do otherwise and getting a useless degree while focusing on football is not a good plan for them. The NCAA just wants to exploit their talents. Getting a paying football gig with former NFL coaches out of high school would be better for them. The NIL is only going to benefit the best of the best players in any meaningful way.

I have been watching both, but I agree with your idea. However, there's no way for these leagues to compete with or join the NFL right now, but they should be competing with the NCAA. If these leagues can offer significant pay and development with former NFL coaches to good talent coming out of high school, they should really be trying to steal talent from the NCAA.

I'm pretty sure neither league was planning on making their money off of game attendance. They learned from the previous iteration of the XFL and AAF. Regardless, both secured great TV deals. This is the same USFL's 2nd season and the new XFL's first season. People want to believe they won't last, but they keep coming back...

I like the vibe and history that comes with the USFL, but the XFL's operation and broadcast has been better. Like the crazy poster above says, the USFL's business plan seems more favorable for long term success. These two leagues should really look into merging eventually.
