  1. It's a little bit of a stretch to frame Morse's release like that. They didn't make changes just for the sake of making changes. His contract was coming up, he's 32 years old and showing decline, and he was due a hefty amount at a time when the Bills were trying to reload and sign impact players at other, more needy positions. He was just an average player that they knew they shouldn't have much trouble replacing. His strength was pass blocking and the Bills' pass locking looked fine today. Morse wasn't a great run blocker. I think it's a wash.
  2. It's an absolute fact, based on their game history, that the "typical McDermott game" is a win by double digits. Maybe you meant to use a different phrase, like "Sure. Like other outlier games from McDermott in the past."
  3. I thought he was already the #2 back. I don't remember him showing much today, though. None of the backs, really.
  4. Dude looked legit. The Bears might finally have a real QB and I'll be happy for them. I love the NFC North.
  5. They could've lost ONE MILLION - 7 Straw man arguments for 500, Alex.
  6. I don't think those were bad throws. Coleman is going to learn from those opportunities, I'm sure. The second one also looked like a clear PI on the DB to me, so I think he should get some of those called in season. He's very shifty and physical at the same time. Good game: Groot, Bernard, Elam on defense Shakir, Samuel, and the pass blocking on offense. Bass hitting FGs despite a decent wind. Bad game: The run blocking looked terrible, but we already know they can run, based on last year. I think they'll get it ironed out for the regular season. Trubisky - absolutely terrible miss to Morris that should've been an easy TD. The guy always shows why his ceiling is only backup level. He should follow AJ McCaron to the USFL and just be a starter there.
  7. I'm very encouraged by the play of Shakir, Samuel, and Kincaid. Coleman looked good too, but wasn't able to capitalize on those red zone opportunities. But really, those first 3 guys are going to be very solid for Josh. I don't have any worries about this passing attack.
  8. It's one of those friendly, productive conversations that will eventually turn into mean, destructive conversations.
  9. Marv just fumbled and bumbled his way to 4 consecutive Super Bowls....
  10. The app is finally available on my LG TV. I don't have to stream to it anymore. It's a downloadable app. The service is well worth it. I've kept it for years because being able to watch every single game at anytime I want year round is an invaluable service. But I will say the app experience has been pretty bad. It's a bit better now that it's a dedicated app on the TV, but I am already having problems streaming the full games from yesterday. The condensed games play, but the full games don't. It was a horrible game, as was the commentating. They didn't have a play-by-play commentator and it was weird. When I watched the condensed version it was just silence during the play, and since I'm unfamiliar with the players I couldn't tell who was involved.
  11. I disagree wholeheartedly.
  12. Barry Sanders Brian Urlacher Larry Fitzgerald Joe Montana Pat Tillman
  13. Looking back on it, I think that move ended Anthony Barr's career
  14. I basically agree with all of this, so back to my original point: if they love Shavers a bunch (who also plays ST), then he could take Hollins' spot. I'd be fine with that. We'd then have: (Kincaid) Shakir Coleman Samuel (Knox) MVS Shavers Hamler
  15. I think he's average. You think he's gonna be better than average?
  16. I wouldn't be throwing my rookie QB to the wolves like that. On the other hand, they have the Bengals and Chiefs next, who's defenses can also be hell for a rookie.
  17. I can tell they love Hollins the person. I just don't know about Hollins the player. There hasn't been any bad news in that regard, so that's good. MVS is a dynamic mismatch. He's the guy you want in the playoffs. He always shows up. I feel like MVS with his speed, and Hamler with his speed and special teams play, those two guys have dynamic roles. Hollins as a reliable possession receiver is fine. I'd say right now it's Shakir Coleman Samuel Hollins Hamler MVS But if they really love Shavers, then why not just take Hollins spot. Only the money stands in the way. Hollins is guaranteed a million dollars.
  18. Just going off these varied camp reports, Hamler and MVS seem like the final 2 WRs innl a 6 man room. Shavers looking good and on the edge. Is Hollins really a lock, though?
  19. If I'm picking "Hellhound" for anyone, it's probably Milano
  20. I'm surprised at all the veteran posters here who are taking the first unofficial depth chart so seriously.
  21. It happens a couple times a decade. A big $4 bil facility in Ohio is probably gonna host a SB. They could still bill it as New Yawk
  22. It'll be interesting to see what the stadium looks like after the first blizzard. That's going to be a BIG DAY here on the board.
  23. New Jersey in '14 Minnesota in '18 A true dome, probably not.
  24. Well, we don't have any dinosaur logos in the league yet....
