  1. Dammit. I like when the picture is in the thread, so I don't have to click on the link. Now I've wasted time scrolling through the thread and STILL have to go back and click the link! YES, GODDAMMIT!!
  2. Given the bolded, this seems normal. When that happens, it often screws up the plan that the project manager originally laid out, doesn't it?
  3. I think the Bills defense is better than the Pats defense. Difference-maker is the LBs.
  4. That's extremely self-centered Bust
  5. He's wearing a Sobotka jersey simply because they share the same number? Bust
  6. Yeah, 2017 was the start of improving the reputation. The difference is the source of the bad reputation. In Washington, it's the owner. In Buffalo, it was the staff. So, the Pegulas were able to fix it over time by rebuilding the staff. It's not going to be fixed in Washington until Snyder is out and someone else can come in and rebuild the staff. Yeah, but it's going to be nearly impossible for a new coach to do that. It's needs to be a new owner who guts the staff and hires the right people. There's always a chance that Snyder finds someone completely aligned with him and the whole org is completely aligned and they have some success, but that would certainly be short-lived before the power struggles tear it apart again.
  7. Jeez....the Redskins is maybe the worst HC spot in the league. Only take it if you're desperate.
  8. That is talking about players under center. Not OLmen
  9. I can't remember the last time I've seen that. OL are moving their arms and heads all the time while communicating before the snap. That's not a false start. False start is when they move or flinch the feet/legs. The true silent count
  10. I don't think it is. False starts are determined by the feet/legs after the OL is settled. The G is still not allowed to move their feet when tapping.
  11. That's what I'm envisioning as a typical legal at-the-LOS cut block. All cut blocks on a run play or a QB scrambling outside the pocket would be fine, too. Pretty much anything outside the pocket. But the more specific they can make these rules, the better.
  12. Hyde is the brains Lorax the heart Edmunds the fist
  13. Knowledge is power. Beane understands how the cost of Eli affects the price of rice in China.
  14. Behind the LOS. So OL cut blocks at and ahead of the LOS would be fine.
  15. The point I was making is that the way the rule is enforced in this particular situation does not lessen the chance of low hits on the QB. Since the RB's cut block is what caused the low hits, the refs calling a penalty on Milano is meaningless. They should update the rule to lessen the chance of low hits on the QB. Take out cut blocks behind the LOS and it lessens the chance of low hits on the QB. Debating one way or the other on the current enforcement is not as interesting as proposing solutions.
  16. It is to a degree and they have to rely more on the basic tenets of common sense and unfair advantage.
  17. You literally are. You just can't own up to it because you didn't have a good argument. It's plain as day.
  18. It's the same reason you're in this thread, quoting rules and such. Pot calling the kettle black.
  19. Calling this a foul on the defender doesn't protect anyone. That's the problem. This isn't going to prevent blitzing.
  20. I'd give a 60/40 edge to the Texans and Cowboys too.
  21. The outcome is dependent on how the blocker acts. The effect on the QB becomes more unpredictable the closer the action is to the QB. So, adjusting the rule to account for the action and proximity to the QB makes perfect sense. You just don't like that I called your tactic lazy and you have no counter-argument. It's not personal, it's just about winning the debate. Thanks!
  22. That's exactly how you intended it. Simply saying "you're just being a homer" is not a good argument. I've offered a better solution, in my opinion. Not just complaining that the Bills got a foul called against them. And not just saying "it is what it is." They can and should improve this rule, as well as the WR pick play rule. I watch all the games and the refs are getting these wrong across the league. The point of the rule book is to prevent one side from having an unfair advantage. They're often losing sight of that and not using common sense.
  23. Instead of requiring defenders to blitz slowly and not directly at the QB, how about requiring blockers behind the LOS to stay upright? I think this makes more sense.
