I wonder how many Euro soccer fans complain about open-air stadiums. Like American football, European football is meant to be played outside.

I bet the difference between an overhang and full roof isn't much, relatively speaking. The retractable roof is where cost skyrockets. I'd rather just have a retractable field, like the Cards have. I think Vikings might have that too now? Overall, the Cards stadium is very cool, but is super ugly from the outside.

It's an interesting day for rookie QBs. I'll definitely be watching Lawrence closely and am hoping to see the Jets fail spectacularly (even if it's only preseason).

The overhang design makes sense and had me thinking about European soccer stadiums. Look at all these: https://www.worldatlas.com/articles/the-largest-stadiums-in-europe.html And that design is ideal for crowd noise amplification. It's like a big amplifier, whereas covered stadiums suck for noise because the sound waves bounce back and cancel out.

Where have you read about an overhang? Just curious.

I don't see a thread for just discussing all the preseason games. I feel like we usually have one. Mods, please delete if this is going on somewhere else and I missed it. Feel free to post your thoughts on any and all preseason action around the league. Drew Lock and the Broncos torched Minnesota. He looked really comfortable/confident and has a nice weapon at WR in Hamler. Vikings rookie QB Kellen Mond did pretty well, too. Watch out, Cousins. 😄

He had a Rough game...

I feel like Stevenson earned more time with that clutch play. He's got a long way to go, but that's the type of talent you keep around over an older backup WR, in my opinion. We can always use the speed. He may end up being another Robert Foster, but they should give him extra chances.

I was wondering about his injury, but I just read that he came back in. I missed much of the 2nd half until the very end.
