It still matters. The strategy is to get pressure with 5 or 6, even if Ben beats it with a quick throw. Then fake pressure and double up his short routes as you bait him into a quick throw. That's what led to the Taron pick 6 last season. "The vaunted double A gap" (in reference to that other thread from last week). If they get even more pressure from just the front 4, which we assume they will, the strategy works increasingly better.

I think the real question I haven't seen asked is how you get wired the right way. How was he wired? What does he look for in other people to determine how they're wired? What methods does he know of or subscribe to for changing that wiring?

Bills vs Packers would be better. The two best QBs, in my opinion, against each other.

I think point differential is certainly a good indicator of how dominant a team has been. It could also show how weak their schedule has been. With all stats, you have to dig into the "why" and provide sufficient context. As we all know, early last year the Bills were struggling to keep the pedal to the metal. They kept letting teams get back into the game in the 3rd quarter. They weren't protecting the ball well enough. And again as we all know, that improved a bit with a change in mentality after the "Hail Murray."

And he fumbled 9 times, lost 6, while Brady lost 1. It was 2 lost fumbles that kept the Jets in the game the first week last year. He had a stretch of 4 games where he fumbled 5 times. I don't expect him to regress overall, but like I said, the turnover tendency is still a part of his game that will keep the haters hating. Cool... are you counting this as some kind of refute or.....?

Don't be surprised if a couple Allen turnovers keep the Steelers in the game. It's just who he is right now. I don't think he's totally cleaned that up. Then all the talking heads will regurgitate this "regression" talk. But it's simply Josh being who he's always been.

Singletary certainly seems like he's ready. Given that most teams may try a similar strategy, more reason to believe Singletary has a breakout year.

Dude was an awesome runner. He made some gamebreaking plays with his legs. Based on what I saw in preseason, he's still the same thrower. No change there. I'm a conversation about Cam Newton, I think it was NFLN analysts who were saying Cam never improved his passing skills enough to remain a starter after his legs degraded. I agree with that and Tyrod is in the same boat. He's a good backup but he's not going to last much longer even as a backup unless he improves his passing. Regardless, he's had a long-enough career by relative standards.

Gabe Davis is a good sleeper I'm looking to get. He's on basically no one's radar.

The most concerning question still looming: is Josh gonna pull a Carson Wentz? I'm sure Eagles fans talked about Wentz the same way we're talking about Allen. I tend to believe Josh will be one of the GOATs, but time will tell.
