I want ONE thing and one thing ONLY from the Buffalo Bills - win just one Super Bowl for long-suffering fans.  Any efforts put forth by the organization that do not align with this singular goal are a distraction, imho.

What does this have to do with this thread, Chas?

I don’t get it. I thought flag football was open to anyone and everyone? What am I missing

    Everyone needs to feel special.

Would we get better players? Would Brady not be our OC?

If this change would completely alter the way this team is built I would be very surprised, I might even be concerned.

Every team builds and strategizes around their starting QB. In your scenario of having Cousins instead of Allen, why would the rest of the team be the same?

They went 50-37 with him making the playoffs multiple times and beating us at home.

I just think everything looks different if Allen is gone. I don't know how Cousins could use these weapons. I don't know if the threat of the running game is present. I don't know if the defense wears down as the offensive production declines.

You think they'd get all the same players if Cousins was their QB? You think they'd have the same play calling and strategies?

Would the Bills be a much different team than the Vikings the last few years if we swapped QB's?

I started thinking the other day "what if Josh got hurt". We would be done I thought. I considered if that meant anything. That from my perspective we had no ability to support the loss of Allen when perhaps other teams sort of could. Bengals, Vikings, stayed in the playoff radar all year last season. Flacco took the Browns to the playoffs. Others stayed in the mix more so than I would expect Buffalo to.

I decided to move the goal posts. What if it wasn't Josh, what if it was, I don't know, Kirk Cousins?  Then what happens....

So not a back up but what the NFL feels is an above average QB.  So would Buffalo be as good as Minnesota has been with Kirk Cousins as a starting QB?  Again, I don't think they would. I think we could get to a wild card game but our ceiling would be no higher than the Vikings and in my opinion it would actually be lower.

Curious what peoples thoughts are on this and if that says anything to them about the strength/development of our roster?

What's your supporting argument for thinking they would not be as good?

We can point to the Bills breaking the playoff drought with Tyrod Taylor and Co.

I think "the process" is there for the Bills to be a playoff caliber (not championship caliber) team with any above-average QB under center.

For Bills fans focusing solely on the Bills, I think perspective can be skewed a bit. For a few years now, the Bills have had one of the better overall rosters in the league. With Cousins playing QB, they'd probably still win the AFCE, but at least be a WC.

Every league has good and bad games. Too bad the UFL championship was a clunker. Attendance lagged but TV ratings were decent enough. I eager to hear if they are coming back for another year.

I read that Memphis is going to be dropped. How do you think Buffalo would do? One one hand who would care? On the other, 5 or 6 more chances to tailgate. If they keep tickets reasonable, why wouldn't Buffalo draw 12-15K? The only thing is the team has to be competitive.

I think Buffalo would have a good turn out, but they should stick to non-NFL cities. Salt Lake City, Portland, San Diego... They don't seem to want to spread out too far yet.

Unlike the Texans and Giants, I think the Ravens alternates look decent. The Logo is more interesting than their current one, and the purple/gold color scheme looks just as good as the Vikings 😉

Any reason why the Bills refuse to do anything like this, despite the fan interest in an alternate red helmet or other alternate?

There's still time. Doing a red helmet or a white-out helmet would be easy.

Or even a blue helmet, since the players like to do the all-blues anyway.

I didn’t watch any of the regular season but this game was hard to watch.  The QBs consistently throwing short passes.

Then Garbers pulls a Kyle Orton slide short of the first down.

    It's definitely not a QB-driven league.

If I were a coach/GM in this league, I'd forget about QBs and WRs. Just get the most mobile QB you can find to pair with the best RBs you can find.

San Antonio had the right idea, but was outmatched on the field in the end.

Wade was an NFL head coach of six different teams and compiled an 82-64 record despite his vagabond lifestyle which seems to say he's an above average coach.  Yet he can't sniff an NFL job.  It seems unfair though his poor playoff record might have something to do with this.

I hope he gets another chance.

He doesn't need another chance. He's had ALL the chances.
