  1. Its pretty clear that Belichek is inside Rex's head. And it appears generally that the Patriots are inside the players heads. That is a disadvantage for the Bills. Basic sports psychology, that we are on the wrong end of.
  2. This is the most important stat so far: The Bills dominated two 1-2 teams. They were dominated by one of the six NFL 3-0 teams. But here is the defensive stat to hang your hats on. The Bills have faced, Andrew Luck, Tom Brady and Ryan Tannehill, which is a cross section of QBs almost universally regarded as being in the top half of the league and two who are generally considered top 10, and one who maybe the GOAT. The Bills rank fifth in the league in defensive passer rating, holding the three teams they have faced to a rating of 78.1, fifth in the NFL so far this season. If the Bills offense is effective, teams are forced to put the ball in the air. Garbage time or not, that is an impressive stat.
  3. Bostic is on a second rounder 2013 rookie contract. Less than $2 million guaranteed, less than $1 million per year average. He led the Bears in tackles in 2014.
  4. He does have horrible coaching, and no weapons on offense.
  5. Nah, Sushi, there hasn't been enough time to cook them yet.
  6. If only we put 1 PSI more into their footballs, they turn into a .500 team. I know this because I read 10,000 offseasons posts saying they suck, but they cheat to compensate.
  7. My biggest fear is that New England exposed our secondary and linebackers as not being up to the task, if a QB can deliver the ball quickly. This fear is mitigated by realizing Ryan Tannehill is not Tom Brady. My second biggest fear is that the Miami defense is tougher than the New England offense, and the Bills seem to struggle against that defense.
  8. Two draft picks: The 49ers dealt Alex Smith to the Chiefs on February 27, 2013, in exchange for a 2013 second round pick, and a 2014 conditional third round draft pick. The conditional pick upgraded to a second round pick when the Chiefs exceeded the eight win mark this past season.
  9. The massive drop off in EJ Manuel threads the last two weeks was the catalyst for a massive drop in worldwide internet traffic. This was causing a disruption financial markets and the world economy in general. Trading Cassell is a desparate attempt to regenerate a QB controversy, which should result in increased internet traffic. Now you know the rest of the story.
  10. The Jets think they upgraded the head coaching position. Does anyone think Watkins is way better than Moncrief?
  11. The greatest teams in the 21st century have featured the highest priced defensive tackles. Its a known fact.
  12. The Patriots were able to dominate the Bills for three quarters in large part because Taylor was ineffective. They toyed with the Bills like a cat with a mouse in the fourth quarter. Going for it on 4th and 1 with a 3 TD lead was a slap in the face to the Bills, and a gift for the Bills when it failed. Taylor is good when he has lots of time and a receiver gets good separation. Eight sacks is a indictment of the offensive line. But eight sacks should put to rest the idea that Taylor has some sort of magical escapability abilities. The Patriots and Colts have given the rest of the league pretty good tape on what works against Taylor and what doesn't. Tyrod is a fifth year player. While certainly game experience can't hurt, he is not a rookie. Bills fans lived through the nonsense that Fitzpatrick was a "virtual rookie" too. If plays like this past game it is going to be a problem. He isn't a top half of the league QB. He isn't a top 20 QB. He is a marginal starter who is a weak spot on the team.
  13. It will be tebow. The intersection of God's favorite football player and America's team is inevitable. The key to breaking all records in Super Bowl 50.
  14. Game was not as close as the final score.
  15. Sadly it is is a road map for the rest of the league
  16. Bad QB and bad coaching are not mutually exclusive. Bet huge on the Jets tomorrow, because its clear the Colts have literally no defense.
  17. The Bills have been exposed. Its clear Whaley hasn't put together anything resembling a competent offense. No QB. Crap line. Receivers that can't get open even when the line gives said crap QB time.
  18. Sadly there is a good chance Taylor's name will fit in on that list.
  19. The speciality kickers union will fight that tooth and nail
  20. There are 56,700 mentions of Tom Terrific Brady, in a basis google search requiring all three names be present. These references go back to 2002. It seems as though you just haven't been paying attention.
  21. You mean the biggest game since the Oakland game last year. A dominating win over the Patriots with a similar performance at QB from Taylor pushes the Bills to the top of the AFC without a doubt. A close win at home puts the Bills squarely in the talk as a playoff lock. A close loss at home puts the Bills squarely in the talk as a playoff contender A bad loss at home will leave a lot of fans in Missouri (i.e. the show me state) The Patriots exposed the Colts in the AFC championship game as a deficient team who was 11-5 primarily because of their weak division. The Bills certainly built on that. This next game allows the Bills the opportunity to expose the Patriots.
  22. http://www.mlive.com/lions/index.ssf/2015/09/nfl_power_rankings_week_2.html Bills #7
