  1. Not really. I just think you have to be an enormous jackass to think a guy who made Billions and became President is a joke. Or you must have achieved more. I was giving you the benefit of the doubt that you achieved more. But maybe you are just an enormous jack ass.
  2. I am sure you have personally achieved a much higher level of success in your business, entertainment and political endeavors. It must be nice to be such a renaissance man.
  3. Are the Bills bad or just not really good? 6-6 is decent. Losing to the Patriots is hardly rare in the NFL. But the 4 out of five losses, with the one win being against an apparently hapless Chiefs team seems pretty bad. Can't really figure out where this team is at.
  4. Part of the process is losing games with historically bad performances, where opposing teams set league and team records, on both offense and defense. Chan Gailey introduced the process several years ago, and the Bills have been sticking to it ever since.
  5. I would love to hear the change go up at the next home game "We are MerrrrCerrrr" turns out to have been a fluke driven by statistically improbable turnover differential.
  6. The Bills have nothing whatsoever to build on. Not a single defensive star. One offensive star who has 11,000 miles on him already. Zero at QB. A couple of extra draft picks is all. Essentially an expansion team.
  7. Peterman has probably the best landing spot ever for a first NFL start. He literally only needs to throw for 57 yards and to lose by less than 30 points to be an improvement from the last game.
  8. He will be next on this list http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1154515-10-best-late-round-qb-selections-in-nfl-draft-history/
  9. The Bills have a history of making moves that in hindsight look like they were made to keep fans interested more than because they were the best strategy for team (it would be nice if those two things always overlapped)> i think this is a football move. As a fan it will definitely get me to watch next weeks game, and not turn it off if turns into another debacle. So its good for that too.
  10. Head coaches seem to follow the QB arch. Most that are very good show that pretty quickly. You can't judge long term failure or success after nine games. But after two full seasons you have a pretty good idea. After three seasons, you are kidding yourself about a guy turning it around at that point, for the most part.
  11. Marrone is in his second season. Los Angeles coach is in his first season. Carrol won the Super Bowl his second season. Don't follow Tennessee much. The examples you give are all guys getting it pulled together pretty quickly.
  12. Can you show recent examples of teams that took several years to build into a consistent playoff contender. IE teams whose current head coaches did not make the playoffs in their first 3 years as coaches, but then went on to great successes down the road. Tom Landry, Chuck Noll and the 70's don't count as recent.
  13. Its fairly clear the Jets exposed the Bills as terribly flawed last week. The Saints built on that and humiliated the Bills at home. The question is, has this just exposed only a lack of current talent. Or is it more serious has it exposed a lack of talent in the coaching staff or the front office?
  14. Taylor is a veteran who is finished product. Like all veterans he will have some games better than others. He may even have seasons better than others. But there is nothing to indicate a trend of getting better.
  15. The patriots have been doing it wrong forever. By winning so many games, they never get to draft low and stack there team with stud players, the other teams in their division do.
  16. Contrary to most, I don't see building a team has a many year tedious process (at least not since the 80's) . The reality is that coaches seem to succeed in their new surroundings right away, or they never do. (Compare Pete Carrol's first three years in Seattle to Marvin Lewis first 3 decades with the Bengals). The fact that McDermott had the team strongly out of the gate is a good sign. The Bills have been far less Billsy than almost all of the last 17 years. However, teams that contend on top for extended periods of time, tend to have a core group of players that they keep around, with the rest of the roster being designed based on the salary cap. (Think Rothilisberger, Bell, Brown on Pittsburg or Newton Kuechle Benjamin on the Panthers.) Even teams with great QBs like Brees or Rivers need to have a few other steady stars to be consistent contenders. When I look at the Bills the key guys have a lot of years and/or mileage. Kyle Williams McCoy and Alexander. Other steady players like Wood Cognito Dareus and Glenn seem as though they also have limited shelf life on the team for one reason or another. I am really not sure what assets the team can really build around. If they keep winning 3 out of every 5, i probably won't care too much.
  17. We all have a choice. This is a game. The games on Sunday are a show. There is no legal or moral imperative to play the National Anthem. It is part of a show. In most stadiums 99.99% of people stand to respect the flag, and that is a part of the show they enjoy. From the perspective of many what McCoy did spoils the show. McCoy can make his choice to do whatever he wants during the anthem that is his right. The fans in the stands can chose to come for the show or skip the show. That is there choice. We all have a choice.
  18. Tough for most people to unhear things. You turn on the radio to listen to a football show, and instantly get hit with a bull **** political rant. Its not like he tuned into MSNBC.
  19. Not this year. The fact that Taylor flounders won't make the Bills fifth round QB a bonafide year 1 starter.
