We are in the "year to late" situation for Trading Shady. He is no longer worth his contract expense. This does not mean he is a bad player. It means he has no trade value.

1. I would not not have Allen in the shotgun, ever, this season. He more equally effective under center, and since this is a learning year, it is better for development. 2. I would try to get the offense to the line of scrimmage much faster. Allen would benefit from getting feedback from the OC to help learn picking up some of the blitzes (assuming the OC actually understands the defense 3. I would do away with empty backfields on all downs. Its not necessary, and we don't have any good receivers, so there is no point in not having McCoy or Ivory on the field for every offensive play. 4. Which ever tight end is best at blocking should be on the field 70% of the downs, none of them are effective receivers. 5. I would try to coach Allen into not doing the spin to the blindside move.

you missed the point. The poster said they are young. They are not. All the teams have a similar age distributions due to the salary cap and rookie contract rules. trying to declare the bills at a disadvantage based on age is just wrong. McDermott has that as his go to excuse though.

Team is not that young. The QB is young. The rest of the team is above average in age, collectively .

Allen is the best QB on the Bills roster. So he should be the starter. This season is not going be a playoff year for the Bills, Allen might as well get as much experience as possible. He doesn't seem like an unconfident kitty that we have to worry about "losing his confidence" or "looking over his shoulder" or any of the other nonsense people worry about. He will either get it down, or he will be gone soon enough. I think he will get it down.

Five years from now you when you are comfortable enough to form an opinion on Allen you will not even remember the the guy so knew efore thr games even started

his physical skills have been on display since college. He may beat himself. He may make mistakes. No Defensive scheme covers the entire field and shady and Allen’s running ability. If you understand what he can do you dont need more games to grasp the concept.

The Bills have spent as much draft capital on acquiring receivers as any other team in the NFL. Its not just something they have been waiting to do. For many regimes, including the current one, they have just not been good at this particular aspect.

Allen will lead the Bills to a win. Rodgers will not lead the packers to a win today. That is all that matters.

HOF is based no play before 2017. Today is not Mr. Rodger's day in the neighborhood.

I am hoping KB is the type of player who plays better when he believes the team is competitive. He may not be able to turn things around on a dime. But I expect him to improve off of his early season play.

In all seriousness, Allen can't be beaten by scheme. We have not had that situation at QB since Kelly. With Shady back in the game today, the Packers defense will be soft and zoney ( i made that word up) and on their heels much of the day.
