  1. I am hoping someone is ambitious enough to put names together in a plan. For example Jarvis Landry was signed by the browns and is at 15.5 million 2018 cap hit. Michael Crabtree was a 7.1 mm cap hit. that eats up a chunk of the 90. Its great to say "top oline and top WR's , but what does it really mean in terms of what players cost in FA, and with filling out a whole roster. The 90 assumes some players are gone.
  2. I am too lazy to do this. But most of us are putting a lot of stock into the cap room if we have next year. If you were to 90 million of cap room for this past free agency season, what would have been the optimal way to spend that, based on the actual contracts players signed in the 2018 free agency season (assume any signed player would have been willing to come to Buffalo for the same price). What would we have gotten on the shopping spree?
  3. coming off a super bowl win, the goal is not to finish 9-7 and be one and done in the playoffs. Its a different mindset than making one playoff game appearance in 17 years.
  4. If the Eagles lose Thursday they will become a team looking to 2019 and a trade is unlikely.
  5. Its the historical norm for the last 20 years. Feel free to look it up.
  6. I think the image most people have in their minds for what is meant by project QB is someone with all of the physical skills necessary and mental acuity necessary to be an NFL QB, but who is also clearly understood not to be ready to start in the NFL due to the level of his college experience or issues with mechanics.
  7. The greatest project QB success story in history is Rich Gannon. Virtually every other QB who won a super bowl AND and a long career as a starter, was a very good QB by year 2, and definitely by year 3. I
  8. Most QBs who end up near the top of the heap, are very good by their second year.
  9. Allen is tied for the most wins among the four rookies who are starting. Lets leave it at that now.
  10. I suspect Derek's focus will be mentoring Peterman. With Peterman's talent, and the proper mentoring he may be able to have a Derek Anderson like career.
  11. I would do this in a heartbeat for a second rd. pick. I like McCoy. But this season is going nowhere and shady isnt getting any younger.
  12. If Anderson is better than Peterman, by all means sign him up to be the number 2. I do hope to God he does not try to instill the Anderson magic into Josh. I prefer to let Allen figure it out on his own, maximizing the physical skills that Anderson never possessed.
  13. Bruce obviously has not established his TBD credentials (or any bulletin board credentials) and as such really has no qualifications to weigh in on this matter.
  14. I have enjoyed this thread but now am channeling my inner Al Davis and merging culture and strategy into a single concept. jus Win Baby
  15. We would miss KBs work ethic and commitment as part of the culture building process.
  16. What characteristics about those players makes your say that. It just seems like a list of players that are not well below average players talent wise.
