    Because anyone who is not an idiot can see they are reasons, not excuses. If you average 20 yards per pass , then you don't need two many. Most games where you average 20 yards per pass the results will be good. If Allen had 15 5 yard passes instead of 1 75 yard strike, I guess you would be getting all excited Allens results.

    Allen is 2-2 in games he started and finished. The team played so awful around him, it is not clear to me we are anywhere close to the "within a year" to decide how long he needs to develop.

    At some point all of the brilliant drafting, FA signings, coach hirings, culture building and processes has to translate into playoff wins. Otherwise it didn't work. The level of patience for "some point" is the main diving line among fans.

    Personally I would take Pryor in a straight up trade for Benjamin. So I think this is a minor mistake. the Bills are not going to fill up 90 million of cap space AND get comp picks.
