Your Opinions on the Gameday Opinions threads

Just letting people start threads and allowing the most popular to rise to the top of the list is a far superior way to meet community needs than to pin a dozen threads and inform people "you should be interested in this"IMHO -
Group Chat: Your takes on the Defense tonight

Very disappointed at series of interviews with defensive players coming off a 6-10 season being seemingly annoyed that they are not being lauded as superstars. That attitude is not likely to lead to playing at a higher level because they "have a chip on their shoulder". If the focus is not on the team winning, but earning individual laurels, then it is likely the team won't be winning. -
Group Chat: Your takes on the Offense tonight

I don't know how many NFL teams can run their offense simply by out executing the other team. It is clear the Bill's are not one of those teams. If the regular season offense is predictable it will not be effective. The Bills simply don't have better talent on offense than opponents will generally have on defense. The WR's while better than last year, are Meh as a group. Line is better than last year but it seems to be at best an average line. TE's are better than last years, but it is hard to say that they are above NFL average. I love Josh Allen. I hope last nights game was an aberration. He was awful. Their is no star at RB. It is hard to see at this point that our RBs as a group will reach the level of average NFL team production. When you assemble all the parts, this offense is better than the 2018 Bills, which was a historically bad offense, but it still is not even yet at the level of average NFL offense. -

Why are your expectations so low. 12/32 teams make the playoffs. -

People need their delusions. It helps fuel their hatred of those who have more than them. -
if they go 4-12, they are not as smart as you seem to think.

when we get to 4-11, lets talk. Prior to that, its mentally challenged concept.

You do understand that it assumes a 4-12 season ?

And the teams that make the most best decisions over time demonstrate that with playoff wins. -
Who could we realistically trade Zay or Shady for?
PlayoffsPlease replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I will explain as much how this analogy work. It has nothing to do with the past. In 2018 Nate Peterman started at a job, that other players were better at. In 2019 Lesean McCoy is likely to start at a job that others are better at now not in 2012, or 2013, or even 2014. -
I think the wait might actually be over.

Having an excellent QB is a prerequisite to winning consistently. Without that the rest is futile. But the converse is not true, that having an excellent QB means you will win consistently. Aaron Rodgers, Matt Ryan, Philip Rivers, Matt Stafford are all pretty decent QBs who have various levels of success at different times in their careers due to the coaching plus the remaining roster. Personally, I am more optimistic about Allen's talents than I am the coaching or remaining personnel including the defense. All players, even young ones, are not on a constant upward trajectory, but fans often think they are, hence the 2020, will be better than 2019, and 2021 even better than 2020. It just does not work like that. -

I hope you are right. But I think it is more likely we lose a game or two because Shady is a weak starter before McD accepts the truth. He is this years peterman. -
What will change? People will stop loving him?

I think it is fair to say that McDermott is the most beloved 15-17 w-l record coach in the NFL today. Maybe for all time.

What do you do if you are Cowboys GM?

I would trade Zeke plus a first rounder to the Bills for Lesean McCoy. At least one fan base would be happy with that trade -

How many teams trade for another teams fifth best receiver. Real question. Not just trying to argue. It seems more theoretical than real. -

Obvously gettting a future pick beats simply cutting a guy, but how often does a teams 8th best WR get traded for a pick? Don't other teams just wait for cuts?
