Elite QBs don’t have down years. The have years better than others, but not mediocre ones. We will see if josh and Ken can turn this around. With Dorsey running the offensive, I doubt it improves much

Not a knee jerk reaction. Some here were calling for Dorsey to be canned after last season. I agree on the daboll point. I personally think he’s overrated and an above average OC but nothing special. I know they don’t grow on trees, but we need someone from the shanahan scheme that can scheme this offensive to success and not rely on josh to make amazing plays all the time. Josh trying to be elite and make splash plays constantly is an indictment of Dorsey’s scheme. Josh doesn’t believe in it and thinks he has to take things into his own hands.

I’d honestly prefer to can Dorsey before McD. The lack of offensive production since midway last season has been alarming with the talent we have. although firing an OC mid season is usually a desperation move that leads to the HC being fired if it doesn’t work out. Doubt McD fires Dorsey cause he knows it could be the end of him too

I don’t want to give up on josh, but is it time to maybe consider trading him and drafting a QB this off-season? I know this is a knee jerk reaction. But based on last year and last night, it can’t be ruled out IMO

OC is the big issue. Someone with a good reputation who is creative. Dorsey doesn’t fit that description

But come end of season and playoff time, Joe has been more clutch, more efficient and smoked josh last year…twice. the game where damar got hurt, it was looking ugly early (just like the playoff game)

Based on last season and tonight, I don’t even know if Allen is in the same category as Herbert and Tua. Certainly not burrow or hurts

Josh needs to prepare more. That story came out that josh relies mostly on athleticism and doesn’t study much. That’s disappointing. It clearly hasn’t worked for him yet. Needs to change his preparation habits

Sadly, this is what is going to sink McDs ship. Sticking with Frazier after 13 seconds was a mistake. But sticking with Dorsey was an even bigger one. everyone could see last year how vanilla our offense was. No adjustments. No creativity. our defense and offense have both regressed largely due to the coaches ability to evolve. im grateful for all McD has done. But it’s time for regime change. It’s stale.

I gotta say I think I’d rather have Tua with mcdaniel over josh in a heartbeat.
