Dude. Andy Reid has won 2 SBs and been to 5 afc championship games straight. He has wayyyy more leash than McD or Dorsey

I’m gonna preface this post by acknowledging that this will be widely unpopular. People will say I am having a knee jerk reaction to the last few weeks. But, with the shortcomings of the offense, not just this season but last as well, I gotta think the blame does solely lie with just McD and Dorsey. Allen has clearly been an issue too. Missing open opportunities because he either looks and throws right away or simply only looks for Diggs. Allen has also committed a ludicrous amount of turnovers. Situationally, he’s been pretty poor this year when it comes to decision making. On the other end of things, he’s getting older. He will be 28 next season and is only continuing to take more lumps. He will only get slower, more injury prone and probably not progress mentally. He’s shown as a pure pocket passer he is simply above average. Look at Cam around the 8 year mark. Really started to take a dive. Josh will be going into his 7th season next year. If this team continues on this current trajectory, i think it’s fair to assume there will be fairly significant changes not only personnel- wise, but coaching-wise as well with a very new OC at the least. With josh seemingly reaching the end of his prime, is that really a time we want to be reloading/re-building? My thought is, while Josh still has value, is trade him. I’d love if we could to the bears for their 2 firsts next year, one in 2025 and a second in 2024. We use those picks to draft a QB as well as Marvin Harrison jr. We could rebuild with a QB on a rookie contract, get the best WR in college to go with Diggs and Dalton Kinkaid, and on top of that we’d be able to use the other picks to build up our o line. We focus on offense next year and shift to defense the following. Now all of this would be contingent on new GM, new staff. im saddened to propose this because I love josh. Seems like a great dude and great for Buffalo. But at a certain point, we gotta start thinking that maybe Josh isn’t the one to win us a SB. Chuck your spears as appropriate.

Hard pass. Pretty sure when he took over as Rams OC after being fired by the broncos, that offense stunk. I wouldn’t touch mcdaniels with a 10 foot pole

I think the bills were interested. But Reid wasn’t interested in the lack of talent in Buffalo as well as the dysfunction

Slow him down? Ha. If you slowed Von down anymore than he already is he’d Iook like pat williams running that pick 6 back against Brady.

Mid-season, Joe Brady. After the season, we clean house and hire an OC as HC. Ben Johnson or Bobby slowik

I’m not very excited at all for this game. Almost hope the offense struggles and we finally fire Dorsey. if we lose this game, I gotta think the season is over.

That’s fair. I feel the same way mostly, with the exception id rather take the risk and try to win a SB. I think it’s become pretty clear at this point McD won’t get us a SB win

So you’re ok with the status quo which is a downward trajectory? Four the last three years? yeah sometimes new isn’t better, but at least we should try to improve. Just sticking with what we have has proven we aren’t improving.

I don’t know how you could have any optimism. For 5 straight weeks our offense has been bad. We have the firepower, but get little production out of it. On top of that, we are going into a much tougher portion of our schedule. I can’t imagine us beating KC or the Eagles….Dallas for that matter too. And I think playing Miami in Miami with a completely different, and weaker, defense than the first game, I see that as a loss too. This team isn’t in a rut. It is just a mediocre team.

I’d probably hold onto Tre and cut Knox and Von

Say what you want about groo, but last night in that last 3rd down for the bengals, if Groot was on the field over Von, I think Groot makes that tackle. Von sucks

His opinion on who shows keep their jobs or who should be relieved. I’d be interested in hearing what he thinks there

At this point I’m surprised he hasn’t made the switch from Ken. It was obvious from the second half of last season and the playoffs that Ken didn’t have it. I think we need another mind calling plays at this point. I don’t think McD will make that switch because if it doesn’t work, McD will probably lose his job at the end of the season being that he will have no scapegoats left

Exactly. Defense has played well enough to keep us in games. Obviously they blew the patriots game, but if the offense didn’t stink until the 4th quarter that defense wouldn’t have been in that position to blow it

Agree. However, Allen isn’t blameless. Turnovers, missed opportunities due locking in on Diggs, refusing to take dump offs. His mindset and preparation for games seems poor. And I gotta imagine that’s on him not getting himself ready and/or Ken not mentally prepping him

Agree. But knowing Ken he is gonna go back to 12 personnel when Knox gets back and our offense will regress even more. at this point we should be running up tempo with 11 personnel until it clearly doesn’t work

It seems like all season josh has just been looking for Diggs to a fault. Josh needs to adapt his game

Totally agree with you. Get a QB and Marvin Harrison jr. Our offense would have plenty of weapons immediately for the rookie QB. Then we’d simply need to rebuild the defense. obviously both safeties would be cut, Davis let go, cut Von, resign Epenesa to a reasonable deal.

If we continue on this course, McD will end up in the stands with us anyways so it’s his choice

I agree. As soon as we don’t make the playoffs you gotta fire McD. my worry is pegula will give him the benefit of the doubt because he is missing a ton of defensive players to injury which would be a mistake
