After the first drive (on script) where the defense gave up 90 yards but stiffened it gave up 183 yards at an average of 16 per Chargers drive.
The narrative that the defense was the problem last night is insane the issues were Allen, Harty and Cook needlessly giving the ball away.
Did he? The Oline had one disaster drive and Cook but the ball on the ground. But the other three Bills drives that failed were two Josh Allen misses to wide open guys on 3rd down and then a stupid pick he didn't need to throw.
Equally the play he makes for our first touchdown was incredible. So I am not ragging on Josh. But this was not, overall, a game where Josh was superman despite failure around him. This was a game where his receivers - Davis, Diggs and Shakir all made really good plays for Allen.
The other huge issue was the costly penalties. Spencer brown on the tripping was not a smart play by him. He did his job by making the DE stumble with the initial block. No need to throw his legs. The following Morse holding was absolutely ludicrous.
I honestly think that drive would have been a successful one

Can we talk about the officiating?
Felt like there were ~5 borderline calls on the Bills that negated big plays.
We would've won this game by 2+ TD's with non-biased officiating.
Agree. I thought both holding calls on Morse were awful.
on top of that, the RT for the chargers was definitely holding on Tim settle on Easton sticks TD run. Dion has been called for that exact play a few times the last couple of weeks.

Not sure about Brady today.
The Bills with Josh Allen under center threw for fewer yards than the Chargers typically give up.
We should have been to exploit their weak pass defense.
It didn’t help Josh’s passes were seemingly off target a majority of the night. The Diggs underthrown, Davis across the middle, even the Shakir completion in the third quarter was behind him and took a good play from Khalil to catch that. If that was a well placed pass, Shakir probably scores on that.
Josh played poorly in the passing game. But when it counted, he made the plays.

Don’t call TO

Stupid to squib it there

Take the points
-
Just three straight runs

He should have stayed down. Burn more time

No one making plays. Huge missed opportunities by everyone including 17

Team of losers. Got high on their own success after two weeks
-
If our offense doesn’t do anything on this drive, I think we are toast based on how the defense has been playing

This defense is absolute trash. Clearly what we are doing isn’t working
-
We are gonna lose 22-21
-
That was a weak call

We need points here. Cmon Josh. Put this game on ice

This defense is the defense we’ve seen against Denver and New England unfortunately
-
Feel like Josh has had three or four errant passes today that have missed out on big gains
-
Don’t know how that wasn’t a hold on Settle? Dawkins has gotten called for that like three times this season.

If this performance continues, I think my mind on McD will be made up

Harty is just dancing around. Dude sucks at punt returns. Take him out
-
Josh needs to step up. This offense looks bad

Pretty unacceptable series by the defense there. Have got to do better.
Cam Lewis sucks

I hope the offense chooses to play smart and not stupid. Looks like josh is trying to force the ball too much
