TMRW (Tomorrow app) shows 6" snow Saturday and 5" Sunday with 22mph wind Sunday.  Not ideal but hopefully they can clear the Saturday snow from the stands and field so all we are dealing with is Sunday's weather.

Are there worse forecasts out there?

Is that 6” throughout the day or later in the day happening?

I hope there's a snowstorm. The best thing the Pittsburgh offense has done in recent weeks is launch the ball deep to Pickens. Snowy windy weather removes that factor. Allen can still throw the ball, Rudolph really can't. I don't understand why so many Bills fans are more anxious about the game. For my money this gives us a bigger advantage.

Or hopefully Poyer or Hyde bait him and make some glorious INTs like they did against Mac 2 years ago

I agree fans will blame the weather.  But the fact is, if the Bills lose, it will be because Pittsburgh made more plays. Just like with the New England wind game, if the Bills could stop the run in that game, they would have won. As it is, they could not and lost.

I think it also hurt us that we refused to pass in the first half of that game. When we finally had to pass in the second half we found we could do it pretty well regardless if the wind. I think we would have won that game if we just decided to pass all game until we were proven we couldn’t in those conditions

  4. What we cannot allow is for the Steelers to control the clock with their ground game. We also can’t allow the big play to George Pickens for a TD (or any WR for that matter).

Our offense has to produce this game to get the Steelers out of their game plan. If we can take a 2 TD lead or so, I will feel pretty comfortable with the way our defense has been playing. Although to its the bills we are talking about, so I’ll probably never be comfortable with any lead

AFC Special Teams Player of the month.  I guess he needs to be Special Teams Player of the year to satisfy you.

I mean this post was written after the chiefs game based on a trend of the entire season at that point in time. Of course Sam Martin had played well the last four games. I’ll admit it. But he was bad for the first 13 games of the season outside of the first Miami matchup.

And Bass is another matter. I feel like McD does not have confidence in him at all and that scares me. Bass has also had a pretty poor season not just by his standards, but all kicker standards.

I think you need to understand the context of when items are written.

  6. He may very well do that.

But based on the way he plays, I think he is in the prime of his career right now. Don’t think it’s reasonable to expect the longevity of Brady or even Manning for Josh based on all the hits he takes.

    I hope I’m wrong.

FWIW, the Steelers are 5-1 when they rush for more than 150 yards.

We are 0-3 when we allow more than 150.

It's beyond likely that it comes down to that given the weather.

The problem for us is that our defense is not built to stop the run.  We rank 28th in yards-per-attempt allowed.

Yep. Our defense is built to play with a lead.

Definitely weather related. The weather thread mentioned 20-25 mph winds.

Unlike the wind game against the Pats a couple years ago, I hope we attempt to throw the ball through the air. That first half against the Pats we refused to even attempt to throw which was foolish when you have someone like Josh.

I think we ran it 4 times last night and got a first each time.

And the league has already said they are addressing it in the offseason, so it's as good as gone once the playoffs end.

Nope. We missed on it twice last night. Miami was selling out to it. We need a counter if we get that look again. Maybe a quick pitch to someone in motion or a TE sneaking out from a faux block

the knox non-call PI was as bad as it gets because the ref was literally 5 yards away, watching it happen. How do you miss that?

Not to mention it wasn’t even a close call. It was obvious.

  11. Von was absolutely useless again. Didn’t notice him do anything tonight. He needs to ride the pine the rest of the season. Jonathan Kingsley is better at this point

It shows you how confident the NFL is that we'll beat the snot out of the Steelers though.

I think it’s gonna be a pretty tight game. I’m thinking 21-13 bills
