  1. Gut reaction: Kiko Logical Reaction: Shady
  2. The "Real Foles" threw for 13 Tds in 8 games. 10 Ints. Not too shabby considering Ej has only managed 16 Tds in 14 career games with 12 Ints.
  3. Kiko just told the board not to break. It listened. #legendofkikoalonso
  4. Who do we target in the draft now? I wanted a powerful RB. TE is still an option, but I'd prefer an OG or OT due to the lack of standout options at TE and the FA options available. Plus, should we draft depth at LB at some point (obviously not the second round)?
  5. shady will end up costing us 9-10 mil. A rookie RB + our current depth would be quite good. Roman and Ajayi would've been a good match
  6. I wish Whaley had worked some magic and got Foles lumped in too. I'd be down to raising the deal by adding our 2015 5th rounder and some backup player + Kiko for Shady and Foles...
  7. I'm in delirium now. Cant tell if this is good or bad...
  8. I guess the upside is that we'll probably retain Spikes
  9. Says the dunce that hates FredX. You might be a dolphins fan, cause it seems like you hate everyone on the Bills
  10. First Neurvith and now kiko? What next? The Bills/Sabres make so many moves i want them to unmake
  11. Couldve had our pick of good, cheap RBs in the draft
  12. NOTE: much of this is just copy and paste of what the OP said. I mostly agreed with him, just changing a few small details (salary numbers, guaranteed money, duration of contract, draft picks and FA pick ups) and I changed those. Other than that, the OP mostly had it right LAST SEASON APPRAISAL – Poor Offensive line play coupled with poor QB play sabotaged one of the all-time great Buffalo defenses and prevented the team from making the playoffs. This was exacerbated by an oft injured rushing attack and poor game management. GENERAL STRATEGIC GOAL – Make playoffs in 2015, build around strong defense focusing on the short term knowing window for D will close in a year or two. Focus on making team more physical. FRONT OFFICE AND COACHING STAFF - Hiring of Rex Ryan and Greg Roman fit goal of building around strong defense. It should be their discretion to hire their assistant coaches.. GM should let HC/ Coordinators choose their own staff. Russ appears to be doing a good job on the business side of things.. maintain him for a few years until Pegulas get their footing and then re-evaluate. Based on the fallout from the Polian fiasco and rumors of old guard bad mouthing Polian.. I would fire Jim Overdorf and either fire or manage out any of the back office holdovers from the Ralph years. PERSONNEL - Goals – shore up O Line / D Line.. draft for skill positions… find Vet QB for competition.. extend young talent • CUTS o Keith Rivers, o Kraig Urbik ( $1.4 mil cap hit) oChris Gragg • RE-SIGN/EXTEND o Chris Hogan ( 3 yrs/ $1 mil/yr) o Da'norris Searcy ( 3 yrs/ $5.5 mil/yr, 7mil guaranteed) Not sure if this is at all a reasonable pricetag on searcy o Marcus Easley( 3 yrs/ $1 mil/yr) o Marcus Thigpen( 3 yrs/ $1 mil/yr) o Marcell Dareus ( 5 yrs/ $13 mil/yr/ $19 mil guaranteed/ $5.5 mil signing bonus – similar to Gerald McCoy deal) o Cordy Glenn ( 3 yrs/ $6 mil/year/ $9 mil guaranteed/ $5 mil signing bonus – similar to Branden Albert deal) • FA DO NOT RETAIN o Jerry Hughes , CJ Spiller, Erik Pears, Brandon Spikes FREE AGENTS • Mike Iupati – G – ( 5 yrs, $6mil/year/ $15 mil guaranteed. $10 mil signing bonus – similar to Marshal Yanda deal) • Jordan Cameron – TE – ( 4 years/ $5 mil/year/ $7mil guaranteed/ $1 mil signing bonus) • Mark Sanchez - QB – ( 2 years/ $5.5 mil/year/ $3 mil guaranteed/ $1 mil signing bonus) NFL DRAFT • RD 2 – RB – Jay Ajayi • RD 3 - OG – Tre Jackson • RD 5 - SS – James Sample • RD 6 - QB – Brandon Bridget • RD 7 – FB- Jalston Fowler CONCLUSION - As GM I addressed both short term and long term issues while leaving plenty cap space (too lazy to calculate, but, some back of the envelope calculations leave me with half a million). The main goal was to upgrade offense while filling some roster gaps (RB, Safety). Offensive line issues persist at tackle and OG. Hoping one of the young guys ( Kuandjio, Henderson) steps up at RT. Manny Lawson will be suitable stop gap at ¾ OLB role for now, to be joined by Mario Williams? and Kiko Alonso. Added new project at QB position while bringing in a suitable backup/starter in Sanchez and retaining EJ Manuel, the QB with the highest ceiling.
  13. Nice, very good OLB. Might be too expensive though
  14. Robey? he cant even beat Carr. I'd sooner let Rambo play safety with Duke/Searcy (if he comes back, as I hope he will) and let A Williams move down to corner
  15. Did the whole Jerry Hughes extension/tag situation really need another thread? With that said, IMO, tagging him goes beyond his worth in a league where top pass rushers make $$$$ and therefore the tag bar is set too high for Hughes' value. Plus, IF we do shift to 3-4, then what would his role be? OLB? he wasnt very good at that. I know he played under Pettine well and served a complementary role and was well worth his roster spot, but that was when he wasnt making 11mil a year after being franchise tagged
  16. pretty much. He's the guy that saves you clicks
  17. Yeah sure. Then we put Sammy in at RT, and move Cj over to LG. It all makes sense.
  18. except accuracy and PATs, I'd rather have Carpenter.
  19. Boling or Iupati seem like the best fits. Although, I read an article talking about how much iupati is overrated which frightens me.1
  20. All I can think of sayin is "LETS GO BUFFALO!!!"
  21. Yeah, I know i will... Honestly it will be sad to see it all end. This state of unknowing is exciting. When it ends with us getting a boring back up journeyman, I'll be sad
