Three 4 yard passes = 12 yards 12 > 10, and therefore, this is a first down every three plays. EJ cant even pass for 4 yards a play consistently without overthrowing his reciever and getting picked off.

Kaep wasnt great to begin with, but Roman's scheme got figured out pretty quickly, and defenses started to shut it down. Plus, the 9ers offense last year was worse than ours... They were also worse in the redzone, believe it or not. Over the years, the Harbaugh era relied on a great defense and a neuveau offensive scheme that quickly became passe. Not saying Roman is bad here, just pointing out that he cant turn lead into gold

We seem pretty thin at LB... I guess they listed lawson/hughes/mario as DE. Also, why is thigpen not listed as FA, but as a WR4. He's also not listed at KR/PR...

Good post. I was thinking similar thoughts. if we screw over Miami by forcing them to bid too much we win. If they give in and we get Clay, we win. Its a win-win. I just think we ought to get Gresham in interim. make it so we could cut him without much penalty. And I also want Mathis. Waiting around for us to actually improve the O-line is tiring me. With that said, If I had to choose between improving O-line only a little and upgrading TE a little, I'd choose TE because the draft is deep in TE if we want backups, but not if we want day 1 starters. I really like Laken Tomlinson, and he'd be good enough for me, and if we dont get a TE in FA, I'm worried we'll try drafting one too high.
