I'll say this for Fitzy
DriveFor1Outta5 replied to dollars 2 donuts's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think "ordinary guy" is a bit of an exaggeration. Fitz has NFL level talent that can't be found with any Joe off the street. His NFL talent just happens to be backup level. A few lucky bounces and a league with a lack of QB's made Fitz more than he should have ever been. -
Raiders sign Carr to 5 year/125 mill extension

Daunte was decent when he had Randy Moss in his prime. -

Agreed. Good luck to Carr. It seems like some of us are trying to make ourselves feel better by doubting Carr. He is going to be a good one for a long time. -

His arm wouldn't be as big of a problem if his brain realized the limitations of it. So I do think that the mental aspect of his game is a big issue. -
Raiders sign Carr to 5 year/125 mill extension

We have also drafted horrible QB's. No one can ever be certain how a QB will develop. This fact is evidenced by many first overall QB busts. However, Losman and Manuel were both long shots. Manuel showed nothing at FSU that indicated he could be a star in the pros. Losman was a guy with a big arm who was viewed as a project. Neither one of those were soild first round picks. They were reaches who shouldn't have been drafted so highly. Were the Raiders really that great of a situation? Good QB's can lift an entire franchise. -

I agree that Winston is insanely talented. My greatest concern is that I don't trust Jameis off the field. Carr and Mariota have all the off field intangibles that successful QB's often have. -

I agree that they are primed for regression. They won a lot of close games last season as well. However, if Carr continues to progress they will be in good shape. The Raiders might have a franchise QB. That puts them light years ahead of us. -

The fact that Fitz plays "smart" football is one of the greatest misnomers about him. He often plays recklessly with poor situational awareness. -
Do all Bills fans hate Gronk?

Lynch is plenty easy enough to hate as a Bills fan imo. -
The last Bills Packers game
DriveFor1Outta5 replied to Ice bowl 67's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it changes a lot. The Packers game of 2014 has reached almost mythical proportions in these parts. I don't believe that it is justified. The Pack looked completely disinterested in playing that game. Super Bowl contenders all lay a couple eggs each season. It's a long season, good teams tend to overlook average teams from time to time. I view that game as the Packers overlooking their opponent. For the Packers to be successful everything needs to click. When the receivers fail to perform their role the teams fails. That is what really happened on that rainy Buffalo day. -
So....Eric Decker? Signs w/ Titans
DriveFor1Outta5 replied to K D's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lighten up, and learn how to have a since of humor. The Bills were never going to make the best offer to Decker. I'm also sure that his wife would be happier in Nashville than Buffalo. I think that when people put themselves out there in the form of reality television they are fair game to make a comment about. If you want your life to be private, keep it that way. Any women that brags about the size of her man's manhood on twitter isn't a class act imo. They may be "nice" people, but they also don't mind attention. Buffalo isn't the best place for that. Why wouldn't they rather be in a media haven such as Nashville? I digress, once again this is all about money anyways. I just don't think saying she'd rather be in Nashville with her D list country career isn't out of line, it's reality. -

I agree with the first sentence. -

No great loss. We need to give Jones a chance to develop. It's not as if we are one player away from being a contender. Decker's wife should be happy as well. After all she is a D list wannabe country singer. -
Personally I wouldn't spend any money to see it. Mayweather is a sure bet for this one. I'm going to take the guy who is participating in his own sport over a guy who will be out of his comfort zone. McGregor would a UFC bout and Mayweather will win a boxing match.

Yeah. I'm not sure what's worse about the top half of the upper deck, the idiots or the terrible view? Personally I'd rather be in the end zone at New Era than the top half of the upper deck.

MSG Series: Top Tens in Bills' History
DriveFor1Outta5 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm just outside of Monroe County east of Rochester. I was expecting to see it since we get Sabre games. Unfortunately it wasn't on here. I thought Rusty regionalized this team from Buffalo to Syracuse. -
Gillislee on the Patriot Way
DriveFor1Outta5 replied to stuvian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What would the Pats do in the playoffs without Brady? Without question BB is a great coach. He is the reason the Pats can win with Brady sidelined. However, that doesn't make Brady replaceable. Jimmy G beat a bad Cards team, the Fish, and a bad Texans team. I want to see Jimmy G win big games. The Pats would be just another average team without Brady. One that could sneak into the playoffs occasionally. -
Public Financing of Stadiums
DriveFor1Outta5 replied to IronyAbounds's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. This is why I am so strongly opposed to public stadium funding. If a city such as Atlanta or Seattle support a stadium it's different than Buffalo supporting one. New York State and Buffalo have bigger fish to fry than building football stadiums. -
I can see fans are less hostile to Rob Johnson than they were when he played here.

MSG Series: Top Tens in Bills' History
DriveFor1Outta5 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And it's not even a comprehensive past. It's simply the two good parts in team history, the late 60's and early 90's. Bills history is like a dinosaur act. You keep getting the same greatest hits from 30 years ago with nothing new. -

I'm going to watch it, but you make a great point. It's nothing I haven't seen before. If it aired twenty years ago the list would be the same as it is today. I'm tired of seeing the comeback game. Some more recent moments would be nice.
