Yes, but a team needs to put themselves in the position to draft a QB. That is what we are doing. Even if it is the "third best". Everyone expects a deep QB draft class. Why is it not possible that Beane and McD are all in on the 2018 QB draft class? They could screw it up, but at least they might give it a try. We weren't going anywhere with Sammy on this roster without a QB.

It wouldn't upset me, but I think that the franchise may believe they have the picks needed to make a move. There is no need to trade everyone away in that case. I made a bit of a hyperbolic statement about QB's. Of course a team needs talent, but a lot ultimately depends on the QB. Recievers without a QB don't help teams win titles. Do you really believe the Pats success has that much to do with anyone other than Brady?

I think they are trying to win games while collecting draft picks to trade up with. That is why we kept TT and signed Boldin. I'm now somewhat confused by what you attempting to say. You just stated that we will pick the wrong QB. Now you seem to be contradicting yourself by stating that we might not have a shot a QB.

I just don't see this team being worse off.

Maybe the new regime was aware of what we did without Sammy? Apparently not many of the fans are. -
TT will never win a Super Bowl. Sammy and TT were never going to be hoisting a Lombardi Trophy together. We need a franchise QB. Now we have the required ammunition to make a move for one. There are no guarantees when drafting a rookie QB, but you have to give it a try. These moves give us the ability to draft a QB early in the first. There is no way you can be "sure" we will pick the wrong one. It is nothing more than your personal bias. We have a new regime, your personal bitterness doesn't mean they will fail. Kudos to the franchise for finally attempting to go all in at the position.

Fair enough, but I never saw this as a 10 win team. We already have two automatic losses before the season begins. -

Why can an 8-8 team catch a few breaks to become a 9 or 10 win team, but a 6-10 team can't catch a few breaks to become a 8-8 or 9-7 team? I don't understand your logic. This team isn't a playoff team regardless. -

8-8 isn't getting a wild card spot in the AFC this season. Jumping up to 9-10 wins is a reach after you just said 8-8. If you believe that lucky bounces could give 2-3 more wins than we could jump from 6-10 to 8-8 as well. Your theory states that 8-8 could win a WC spot. This means we could still be a WC team using your logic. I don't believe we are a playoff with or without Sammy. He's on borrowed time here himself. As talented as he is, lets not fool ourselves by thinking he's going to part of future success. -

Is it better to be a 8-8 than 6-10? If that's the only difference, who cares? What if Sammy goes on to be a Hall of Famer, but we get our franchise QB? I'd say we still win that trade. Sammy doesn't necessarily need to fail for this to be a good trade. -

That happens to every NFL player. He needs to realize that. Especially a name as big as him. What about all the people walking around Buffalo with Watkins jerseys? -

How about all the fans who worshipped him? You act like every Bills fan attacked him on twitter. He won't have to worry about fans criticizing him LA. No one in that city will care. How could he play in Philly or NY if he can't handle criticism? PS that's the kind of stuff that happens on the internet. -

I thought he always had a bad attitude and didn't want to be here. Check out his twitter "everything happens for a reason, thanks for the memories". No appreciation shown for Buffalo or its fans. See ya later Sammy. How will he embrace the Rams? It's not like they have a passing game either. Goff is a bust in waiting imo. I'm sure he'll enjoy the LA lifestyle though. More people who don't have "little jobs". -
I don't see why any player would be "pissed". They are delusional if they think this is no longer a playoff team because Sammy is gone. It really doesn't change much in the W column.
