From those quotes Rams fans make all of us here sound like geniuses. -

Don't you think that work ethic and character might go hand in hand? -
Barkley would have been a number one pick if he didn't stay too long. Even Darnold runs that risk. Injuries are always a concern as well. I'm not saying that you're incorrect, I just think that it wouldn't be in his best interest to stay.

Knee jerk reaction that losing Sammy is bad for TT?
DriveFor1Outta5 replied to GG's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've always felt like TT plays just as well or better without Sammy. He looked pretty good with Sammy sidelined last year. Feeding Sammy may be one less thing for TT to worry about. -
I don't think he will, but good question. Darnold would be stupid to stay in school if he meets expectations this season. I would hope he learned something from fellow USC QB Barkley. I like Luke Falk as well. Jackson is the bust of this draft. He'll either change position or end up like Tebow.

Character & Jordan Matthews

Or you could look at the 7-9 Jauron years from a different angle. We were able to go 7-9 with a team complete void of talent. During the Whaley years we went 7-9 with teams loaded up on talent. Jauron's teams could be viewed as overachievers while Whaley's teams could be viewed as talented yet lazy teams. -
You, me and no other fans are in the locker room, so we don't know if he did the right things. I'm just saying that it's possible he was diva locker room problem. There is no way I can prove that I'm right, it's just a theory. There is also no way to prove I'm wrong. Just throwing ideas out there. He was talking to me because he said "keep working ya little job for the rest of your life" that's what I'll have to do. Hopefully he's good with his money or he'll have to work his entire life too. It shows arrogance and disconnect from real society aka diva.

I think if had the early success and NYC spotlight of Beckham he could have been at that level, minus the Josh Norman fights. I wouldn't be shocked by behind the scenes drama with Sammy in the least. He wants to be a star. Buffalo was a downgrade from the spotlight that shined on him with college football. He said all the right things about being here, but I'll never be convinced that he wanted to be here.

LeSean has a lot to say. I couldn't care less about any of it. That's why I'm not too concerned about his recent Matthews remarks. He's a great RB, but never the most tactful guy.

Personally I don't think that the locker room cancer theory is likely either. I'm still not going to say it's completely impossible. It's more likely that the coaching staff didn't see eye to eye with Sammy. There is a great deal of politics and interpersonal communication in play at every workplace. Anything is possible. Injuries and economics are more likely reasons for this trade imo.

Are you going to sing the same tune if...
DriveFor1Outta5 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Sammy becomes one of the top recievers in the game and we become a playoff team I'd be happy. The outcome of this trade all depends on what we get from the 2018 draft. If it improves our team, it was a success. If we continue to linger in mediocrity then it is a failure. -
I understand your fear of such power being placed in inexperienced hands. It is something that I have found concerning as well. Beane and McD will leave Buffalo behind as an utter disaster, or they will be the best thing to happen to this franchise. This is a real boom or bust regime imo. The only thing that comforts me is that we can't really hit rock bottom. We already have a 17 year playoff drought. I find it difficult to be up in arms over the loss of Sammy (or any player) on a team that was going nowhere. Beane and McD think they are building for the future. Their plan may or may not work. We don't have much to lose as the present offers little hope. I understand where many posters are coming from. I'm just viewing this through a different lens. P.S. Here is your original quote "Yeah, I'm pretty sure that the Bills mess this up. My biggest fear is that they use a bunch of capital to move up and take the wrong guy at QB." I guess you never said they "will" take the wrong QB, you're just "pretty sure".

Thanks for chiming in with your abrasive remark. Purposely argumentive? I'm on a message board having a conversation. I'm just having a discussion. It's fair to think it's a deep QB class, and that we might happy with several of them. Apparently none of you can comprehend that idea. We could have Rosen,Darnold,Allen, and Falk entering the draft. I like them all. Sadly, many with posters I guess your eyes are only for one.
