  1. I feel similarly about McCarthy's underachieving Packers teams. His title has given him a lot of wiggle room imo.
  2. Just not doing it for me. There is just too much blue for my likeing. This franchise's performance has already given me "blue Bills". I don't hate it either.
  3. More divided now than two weeks ago? I'm just another person who wishes he'd admit that Friday morning felt too rough.
  4. I agree, the idea that he came here to win a championship is laughable.
  5. I agree. Shady gives your team a chance to win whenever he's on the field. I didn't mind the Darby and Watkins trades, but I don't want a complete tank. It's still important to present a watchable product to the fans. I really don't want to feel as if the one game I attend this season is a complete waste. McCoy makes the team watchable. I'd be more comfortable with trading TT sinceTT isn't as valuable as Shady imo.
  6. We stunk before this, and we'll stink after this. I'm not sure that Boldin's presence was going to add a ton of wins.
  7. I understand that, but if the claim is that he wanted to be on a contender, this was never the spot . Boldin is simply failing to admit that he is toast.
  8. He doesn't know "what's up" if he thought this was a playoff or Super Bowl when he signed.
  9. I can't say it's their fault that Boldin apparently isn't very bright then. However, I don't think that's the case. He knows he has nothing left. Boldin played an embarrassing game on Thursday. A veteran like Boldin would typically be looking for a Lombardi Trophy. That was never going to happen here.
  10. TBD has been seemingly divided into two camps. The anti McBean crowd, and those willing to give them a chance. We should all be able to agree on this news imo. Boldin's retirement doesnt make things better or worse. It's actually quite an inconsequential loss. Boldin showed that he had nothing left in the tank on Thursday night.
  11. If he ever thought that Buffalo was the place to come to win a championship, the future of human rights is in bad shape.
  12. Times like these I think to myself that at least we're not the Browns. Then I remember that they always beat us.
  13. I know we can never beat New England, but I didn't know that we can't beat Charlottesville either.
  14. Leaving the team high and dry. How's that for character?
  15. I grew up with college football. While I agree that Western NY'ers are probably less knowledgeable about college than many other NFL cities. I don't think it matters all that much. You still have to separate what guys do in college from the pros. Many of the best pros had somewhat pedestrian college careers and vice versa. The NFL draft would be a perfect infallible science if that wasn't the case. I'm sure many of those college fans in Louisiana thought that Eddie Lacy and AJ McCarron were going to be great pros. I don't think that fans from college football regions are more knowledgeable regarding pro prospects. It's too much of a crapshoot.
  16. That's my issue with the entire scenaro though. How does the team go from having their guy at QB to deciding that he isn't the guy, only four games into the 2014 season? That jumps out at me as a confused organization who wasn't on the same page.
  17. That's where the dysfunction in this organization shows. Hearing the phrase "develop with him" made me think of how they benched Manuel four games into Watkins rookie season. So much for developing Watkins with Manuel at that point. I was never sold on Manuel since the day we drafted him. I was very unimpressed with him at FSU. Benching Manuel didn't bother me as I was already convinced that he wasn't a NFL caliber starter. However, if the franchise thought they had their QB before drafting Watkins, how did they determine he's not the guy four games into the season? Personally I already believed that we didn't have a QB going into the 2014 draft.
  18. This ^ Sammy was highly rated on every teams board. There was nothing wrong with taking him where we did. The obvious issue was giving away the draft picks in a deep WR class. Not every draft guru guaranteed that Watkins was far and away the best in the class, or was certain to be the next Jerry Rice. That is the only way you make the trade. I think that people's views on Whaley tenure here influence the thought pattern on both sides.
  19. I'd be more concerned about Boldin being physically unable to compete. He had a decent season last year with the Lions, but you can never tell when a guy is going to hit the wall. Lack of effort would be the least of my concerns with Boldin. It's difficult to believe that a HOF caliber guy is going to mail in an entire season.
  20. I've never seen it. Finding it hard to believe it was unintentional though.
  21. I've always thought that surnames should never be under the jurisdiction of the grammar police.
  22. The Eagles game left a bad taste in our mouths, but Hochuli has always made it about himself. It's hard to watch games he officiates.
