I get your point, but every time we wanted to see the backup, we were correct. All of those starters were busts. They were not the future. There was always the possibility that one of those backups could have been the future. They all happened to be just as bad as the guy they replaced. Of course the odds of the backup being a franchise QB are higher if he's a high draft choice, but no sense in sticking with someone who isn't the future. These facts don't mean that trying something new is a bad idea. I don't understand what people are saying when they make your point. Are you saying if we stuck with one of those starters that we'd have a franchise QB now? I think not, and TT isn't a franchise QB either. We might as well see what we have. If it's a complete failure, great, we'll get a better draft pick.

Jay looked good in Chicago during the beginning as well. Then he will get lazy and complacent. At that time he will simply become another crappy QB. Who knows when it will happen with the Dolphins, but his career shows that it's inevitable.

Or maybe we can deal with the fact that we don't have a QB, and we used Sammy to accumulate draft picks in hope of finding one.

Watching the Rams game now, Sammy is no Cooper Kupp.

Even during the last possession, he was indecisive and inaccurate. How many times did he tuck the ball and run? He should have either thrown it away or forced a pass. On a two minute drive with the game on the line, sometimes you must force throws. Even if film shows recievers were covered all day, that final drive told me all I need to know about TT. He played a Tebow like game.

Not a TT guy, but that's a good example of a drive ruined by bad play calling. TT was getting into a grove, then we called the same slow developing run with Shady that we've been calling every first down. Bad job of coaching feeling the situation.

No, the second and longs from these crap first down calls are going to kill us.
