  1. Loud on third down. So many Bills fans. Atlanta fans don't deserve such a good team.
  2. Yes, but I'm not very impressed by any of them, with the exception of the Chiefs. My issue with the Chiefs is that Reid and Smith make me doubt their postseason chances. There are more impressive NFC teams imo.
  3. Why do we continue to expose another nation to this crap year after year? If this were a foreign game I'm unfamiliar with playing annual games in my nation, I wouldn't be impressed.
  4. You're right, this is America. That means we have the right to tell you we don't agree. This means that you have no right to speak about it. I think that the constitution says that somewhere.
  5. Crappy officiating is the number one issue. It's the reason that I only watch Bills games. NFL games no longer flow well with all of the penalty stoppages. That's without even taking into accounts by all of the games that are deciding by the refs. The Rams vs 49ers Thursday night game was a great one, only to be decided by the refs. I felt like I'd be cheated out of three hours of my life. I'm more concerned with how the Pats can commit offensive interference every play than I am with this other BS. Biased/borderline crooked officiating ruins a sport.
  6. This is the stuff that has driven me away from the NFL. I renewed my love of college ball during last Bowl season. The only problem is that I forgot how miserable mid season college football matchups can be. I guess I'll always prefer the pros, but someone needs to address this officiating business. It really ruins what should be a great game.
  7. Cutler would drive me crazy if he were on my team. Guy doesn't seem to care about anything. I loved his reaction to that pick.
  8. I forgot that last time I hooked up an antenna was with an old analog tv. Wanted to use it outside, but obviously couldn't get the HD signal that is built in to newer tv's. The only thing that sucks about HD antenna reception is that you don't want to be in a fringe reception area. The whole freaking signal dies occasionally. I missed the days when the image just got blurry. At least you could still listen, and possibly see something.
  9. I feel about this topic as I feel about Will Ferrell's comedy. It's a joke that's so absurdly stupid, it's not funny.
  10. Packers offensive line and lack of a run game prevent them from completing destroying opponents.
  11. It's funny how his color commentary sometimes spills over to times when the play by play guy typically begins. You know that must irritate someone like Nantz a great deal. As a fan I don't mind this. Romo is far more knowledgeable than Nantz, and many other play by play guys.
  12. Maybe I should stayed tuned in case we get our first look at Trubisky.
  13. Rarely is on the "elite" teams. Yeah, but it's not with Glennon and the Bears in Green Bay imo. One more Packer score, and I'm likely to be done with this one.
  14. I'm thinking that this topic was a joke to see how many responses something ridiculous could get.
  15. There are a lot of bands that I love. Yet I have no desire to see them play a half time show. Lots of "legacy acts" still put on great shows, but I'd rather see them in concert. A Super Bowl appearance by 70 something year old guys just won't do it for most young people. That's why I say to abolish the half time show. There are no current acts who are musically worthy and big enough to do the show anymore.
  16. Am I the only person who thinks that the halftime show should be abolished? Great stadium rock bands will all vanish from the earth soon, and there will be nothing. A band like AC DC before losing Brian Johnson is the perfect compliment to a sport like football. Nothing else works well. Most music popular these days is made for young women, not the type of music that fits football. We have nothing left beyond pop divas, and pretty boy pop and country stars. None of which work well with football.
  17. I think we'll see that the Panthers are a bad team this season. We'll also see that Siemien isn't great although he had a couple very good games. Siemien and Matt Ryan are worlds apart. This is the only game this season that I don't give us a chance to win.
  18. Yes. His numbers still weren't all the bad, and he went somewhere around .500 against McD during those years. I'm excepting this to be the first game where our defense give up some big numbers. I hope that I'm wrong, but I'm not excepting much from this game. The Falcons offense is incredibly good. In the NFL there is a chance of winning every game, but I see this one as the least winnable on our schedule.
  19. What the h*** does that have to do with conscription? I'm quite certain there are fine American service men and women who are Muslim. Stuff like this is everything that is wrong right now.
  20. Here's the real question. We are on the brink of war with North Korea. How many of the angry patriots in the stands are ready to go over there?
  21. There is where I'm at. All of this anthem business has gotten me thinking over the weekend that we need to begin a mandatory service program or something . Not necessarily a military draft, but some type of mandatory service for all Americans after high school. This would teach Americans that there is more to changing the world than simply running ones mouth. It would also be an opportunity for people to escape the bubble that we live in by getting to know people from different backgrounds. We have become a culture where words mean more than actions. We need to do something to change that. If people understood that actions mean more than words, and what America is all about they wouldn't be kneeling during the anthem. They would also learn how to be proactive in helping others, and how to form grassroots change. On the flip side the drunk fans who are up in arms would have a moral high ground to stand on. I have all the respect in the world for veterans who are disgusted with what these players are doing. I don't have the same amount of understanding about an angry American flag tank top wearing drunk 20 something who has never done a thing to serve their country. As Kennedy said "ask not what your county can do for you, ask what you can do for your country". Both sides have forgotten that. Somehow, we need to teach people that change happens through actions, not by running ones mouth.
  22. Carpenter's extra point problems made him expendable. Hauschka seems to be a good signing. Obviously something needed to be done at that position. Kudos to Hauschka for being a major part of a big win yesterday. Kickers do go through ups and downs though. The time will likely come where he costs us a game or two as well. That's just the life of a kicker. Any and every kick from a placekicker is always a moment for fans to hold their breath. Kicking is a lot like golf, things are going to go wrong at some point for everyone. Agreed. That was the biggest issue with Carp. You can't win close games missing that many XP's.
  23. Sometimes I think that replay causes more harm than good. I hear all the commentators talking about it being "the right call". His knee looked down, but there is no way to know whether it or not it actually touched the ground from that replay. It seems as if the irrefutable evidence part has been lost on everyone.
