  1. It's all relative. Considering where I grew up. I always find the whining about Buffalo to be hilarious.
  2. I forget that he texted Jonathan Martin some Shakespearean stuff.
  3. I've always thought that NFL players could actually get in more trouble in Buffalo. Everyone in town knows who they are, it makes it much easier to get attention. Walk around LA or NY, and no one will give a crap. For example I guarantee that a large percentage of NYC couldn't tell Manning from a picture. If he played here 100% of the population would know. Not offended, Richie isn't the brightest crayon in the box. I wouldn't expect much from him. This is about Richie though. I'm having a tough time envisioning him at a theater. Good to know that WNY is drug free.
  4. I agree, and I was in favor of the trade. At the time I thought more highly of Boldin than I should have, and expected a little more from Jones. Now we are left with nothing. It's been a great season up to this point. I'd hate to see a promising season go down the tubes because the FO doesn't care about the WR position. We are currently a contender. At the very least, they should be exploring trades. I stand by my hypothesis that the WR position shouldn't be highly valued. You don't need superstar receivers to win games. Wheat you do you need are guys who can play decent football. At this time we don't have any recievers capable of playing decent football.
  5. Thanks for being reasonable, and not being overly offended. That was not the intent. People (myself included) admittedly get overly protective when people defend fans of other cities. Maybe Falcons fans aren't as bad as I assume. What I do know is that Falcons fans aren't as diehard as Bills fans. Very few NFL fans are. The Bills are passed down through the generations. They are part of our culture and heritage. This is a fact that you would understand as well as anyone. To say that the Bills are "the only thing the city has" can be taken as not only a slight to the city, but the fanbase as well. I'm not a Bills fan out of boredom. Growing up in WNY, I watched Bills games after visiting great museums, being part of a great music scene, visiting historic sites, art galleries, and some of the coolest bars in the country. I love the Bills because they meant so much to the people I loved. It's not because Buffalo is so boring that I found them out of boredom. Obviously this response is a bit melodramatic. I'm just trying to explain why some (including myself) become unreasonably sensitive about these things, even at times when someone such as yourself had no intention to offend. We are all Bills fans, that's why we're here.
  6. Just as everyone else, I'm loving what I've seen. However, I wish that "the process" included picking up a receiver this week. With an already extremely weak WR corps minus Matthews, we will find ourselves losing games if we don't rectify the problem.
  7. It was somewhat of a joke. Don't take it so seriously.
  8. This guy seems so obsessed with Atlanta, I don't why he doesn't become a Falcons fan.
  9. Can we make a board for real posts, and form another for troll posts?
  10. Kelce is like the Chiefs version of Edelman to me. Something about the guy just annoys me, but look at Smith going downfield this season. He looks like a different player. The Chiefs are very dangerous if Smith continues to be a downfield passer.
  11. The only game I can attend this year. EJ Manuel starting would greatly enhance the experience.
  12. Carr looks like a franchise QB. He's the type of guy you can easily envision winning titles. I just wonder how much injuries will end up derailing that. Carr is relatively young, and will have to deal with this for the remainder of his career. Injured QB's (especially back injuries) don't fare well in this league. His career could very well end up being Romo esque imo.
  13. Wonder how many people on the Raiders board are calling him soft?
  14. Greed is going to kill everything that made the game great. It happens to everything in this world. The music business as a pop culture phenomenon is well on its way (if not already there) to being the same.
  15. Agree. People are reading too much into this. Atlanta fans are simply apathetic about their football team. If the Falcons played a scrimmage against Bama, it would be the hottest ticket in the history of Atlanta.
  16. As an Atlanta resident you would be far more informed than I. I figured I'd mention a theory to you. Considering all of the Northeast/Midwest transplants in Atlanta, are there more NFL fans than Falcons fans? People sometimes claim that Atlanta is a good sports city, it may be, but not for hometown team support. I've experienced that Atlanta is a great place to watch college football. After all, it seems like every college graduate from the rural Deep South relocates to Atlanta.
  17. I think I got the 6K figure for the lower bowl from a previous poster. It may have been in another post, not that every poster has accurate information. Either way, it's not a good business model.
  18. The quality of the game sucks, and teams are selling PSL's for 6K. I think that sums it up.
  19. I understand, I guess I'm just old fashion regarding this topic. My idea of going to a football game doesn't involve watching the game from a bar. I like being in my seat actively watching the game, without a distraction such as a bar. Please don't take offense, if that's something you enjoy, by all means hang out at the bar. It just doesn't fit my idea of attending a football game, and being part of the crowd. It's difficult for a team to have home field advantage if everyone is hanging out at the bar. I'd rather save money watching the game at an actual bar, as opposed to spending hundreds or thousands to watch at the stadium from the concourse area.
  20. Agree, but it's the PSL's that is the very thing driving this greed. Any PSL that's going to help an owner pay for a stadium is going to be astronomically priced.
  21. I'd be more worried that my star QB might have an injury plagued career.
  22. Are you serious? My definition of being a "good fan" is being in your freaking seat to watch the game. Pacing around the concourse is what my Mom does at baseball games. It's not what a real sports fan does.
  23. Who said anything about "rednecks"? Southern NFL fans simply aren't as great in number as those in cities with longstanding traditions. I think that your username says it all.
  24. The media has been doing this to Americans for years. Keep us poor folk arguing about stupid stuff, while we continue to get robbed blind everyday.
