  1. Raiders loss would be helpful for us, but lets be honest. We need to beat them regardless. Thats s how you become a playoff team. We cant have them lose tonight, only to lose to them ourselves. We need to beat the teams on our schedule. If we do that, well be in the playoffs.
  2. Nance: whats he trying to do?. Romo: catch the ball. Yep, no crap Nance, what did it look like?
  3. Not in Buffalo. He might be terrible for three quarters, and then pull off a miracle in the forth.
  4. He knows hes toast. Figured hed run off the bench, get himself suspended, and get a game off.
  5. What a stupid play for a QB with a bad back. Great move there beast mode.
  6. I dont think that anyone pretends they are a fluke. Some people just doubt Andy Reids and Alex Smiths ability to take their team to a Super Bowl. Who knows what will happen? Its been a crazy season.
  7. Why dont the TT haters and TT fanboys just wait until we play the Raiders? At that time we can discuss how he fares against their putrid pass D.
  8. Raiders D. Smith has been great this season. Sorry, but Im still not betting on him in the playoffs against Brady or Roethlisberger. Hes has a good chance to prove his critics wrong this season, I believe that he can do so, but it doesnt mean Id bet on it.
  9. Yes they do, but to say that Alex Smith is suddenly a QB who will take them to the Super Bowl is premature imo.
  10. Im already prepared to turn the channel. Im tired of officials deciding games. Maybe the league will figure this out once the ratings decline permanently.
  11. We are well on our way to every thread on this site ending up in PPP. McCargo has already caused this franchise enough grief. What another classic Bills bust. The epitome of the 2000s Bills draft picks.
  12. I'm agreeing with you that's it's unfair when TT's critics use his numbers as an indicator that he's a terrible QB. There are other more telling aspects of his game to point out. Numbers are an easy way to make an argument without digging deeper.
  13. I agree with you that the offense needs to improve. You are correct in pointing out this is a winning team. Sadly, if the offense doesn't show improvement, we won't be one for long. I'm discouraged by the fact that I don't see many signs pointing to an offense with the ability to improve. There are simply too many things wrong with this offense imo. The problems range from personnel to coaching/scheme. Unless one or both of these change, I don't see things getting better. Hopefully I'm wrong, I want to watch a winning team with an exciting offense.
  14. Football isn't about numbers. Regardless of your side in the TT debate, judging him solely on numbers isn't fair. Football is a game of inches, it's about making clutch plays at the right time. TT fails at this more often than he succeeds. We are 4-2 if he makes a quick read and gets the ball to Logan Thomas. Instead, he chose to wave him into the endzone. We missed a chance to put seven on the board, and eventually lost a game we would have likely won otherwise.
  15. Yes there are, but your offense still needs to be good enough to score TD's when they gain possession in oppenents territory. We have not been capitalizing on turnovers like winning teams do. Kicking field goals more frequently than scoring TD's, after gaining great field position post turnover is not a winning formula. At this time, no one on our offense is good enough to be on a winning team.
  16. Yes, the return of Matthews and centering the game plan around McCoy would be ideal. I just hope that a McCoy based gameplan hasn't it's lost potency due to the limitations of our offensive line. Peterson's game proves that the Buccaneers can be run on, but our offensive line needs to figure out this zone blocking scheme asap. The offensive line has been an absolute disaster, I'm not confident that we can run on anyone. Hopefully I'm proven wrong, and the return of Matthews might be just what the offense needs.
  17. Good post. I agree with most of the above. The only exception is the "what if" scenario with the Pats record. The Pats are gifted countless victories by the officials every season.
  18. That's what Fitz does best. The frightening thing is that I believe Fitz could win that type of game against us. Turnovers against the 2017 Buffalo Bills don't necessarily have to be back breaking mistakes. This Bills offense has shown an inability to capitalize on turnovers time and time again. If Fitz turns the ball over in his territory, and we settle (the coaches seem to intentionally settle for them) for field goals, he can still beat us if he follows turnovers with successful touchdown drives. I don't care if Winston or Fitz is QB. Our offense needs to improve. If they can do so, we will have a good chance of winning on Sunday.
  19. I agree, that's why I've been such a proponent of making a trade for a WR. Not only do we urgently need one this season, it will also be a need heading into next season as well. JMatt is a slot receiver who has already shown difficulty staying healthy. Regardless of JMatt's future in Buffalo, we will need to add recievers to this roster.
  20. I'm not sure how much I'm ready to attribute to defensive improvement, although I do agree with your assessment of the QB position. Currently there are many aging QB's who appear to be fading, while the young QB's aren't ready for the torch to passed onto them. There are countless high scoring games throughout the league every week. This does not speak to a league with great defense. NFL football in its current form consists of poor fundamentals displayed on both sides of the ball. Lets use the 2017 Pats as an example. They are a very average looking team, yet they have managed to accumulate a 4-2 record. Haven't they allowed something like six consecutive three hundred yard passing games against them? This shouldn't be a 4-2 team with such a poor defense, but the majority of their opponents haven't had good enough QB play to capitalize. The modern NFL is built around the QB. League rules have been manipulated with the intention of pulling the game in that direction. Now we have a QB oriented league, without enough good ones to keep the game entertaining.
  21. I certainly hope that wouldn't happen. If the drought ends this season, it should be celebrated properly as the miracle that it is.
