  1. TT has a chance to earn a little goodwill, or he will become the most loathed QB of the drought with a loss.
  2. The playoffs are within reach of this team. Time for these guys to step up, and show some fire.
  3. I hate to be over confident, but I’m more worried about TT at this point than the Ravens.
  4. What a bonehead play. Must be the fault of having no recievers.
  5. Dalton needs to do something. He’s just as annoying as TT.
  6. This is the ultimate TT game thus far. He has been up and down. A couple of great throws, followed by pure crap.
  7. Why didn’t Kiko add that dirty player edge for us? This seems somewhat new for him.
  8. I’m so nervous. How Billsy is a Ravens loss, followed by a Fales victory over us?
  9. This^ I don’t think that the OSU loss to Iowa is viewed fairly. The Big Ten schedule wears teams down when compared to Bama’s SEC path. Iowa is rarely in the upper echelon of college teams, but they are very a well coached team. I’d like to see SEC teams win in Iowa City on a regular basis. Additionally, Clemson’s loss in Syracuse is uglier than any loss to Iowa.
  10. Tolbert was apparently loved in Carolina. Maybe we can trade him Tolbert for Eli straight up.
  11. The Pats have already made parity a joke. I’m not convinced that the NFL is worried about that. Losing to Marrone.
  12. It should help, as long as Big Ten teams don’t schedule quality non conference opponents. Bama will continue to play Florida Atlantic while OSU will be punished for losing to a top 10 team. The committee needs to change this.
  13. More teams is definitely the only solution. However, I didn’t think that OSU deserved to be in the playoffs last season with the current format, just as I don’t like Bama being in it this season.
  14. Agreed. I wish more emphasis were placed on winning conference titles. At least teams would know what needs to be done. There would be guidelines to follow, and the system could be more easily explained. I could except OSU as a conference champion better than Clemson and Bama entries based on reputation. I understand that those teams only lost one game, but it’s tough for me to see a contending conference champ excluded. OSU did what they needed to do by winning their division. Bama had their chance to do so, and failed. It’s a shame to be punished for scheduling legitimate non conference opponents.
  15. Miami was a nice storyline this season, but they were incredibly overrated. Their marquee victory came against the kings of overrated, Norte Dame. The Big Ten is the real story. The playoff system was a step in the right direction, but it obviously needs to be taken further. The Big Ten could easily have given a national champ this year.
  16. I understand. Money is great, who doesn’t want to be set for life? The issue is that these guys will all be compensated nicely by any team. I’m not sure that I want to sacrifice my career before it begins for a little more cash. Your NFL career hasn’t a prayer when the Browns call your name. Money is nice, but decent players should also desire success. I know that my goal would be a Super Bowl ring, and a bust in Canton. I wouldn’t want that dream over before it began. That’s exactly what being drafted by the Browns does to a young player.
  17. Tell that to every college prospect who are crossing their fingers that the Browns don’t draft them.
  18. Thoughtful post. Winning makes everything more fun. Anyone who has ever played a sport should understand that. It becomes part of the decision process in addition to money. Playing a sport is not akin to being an accountant. The workday holds far greater potential than just making bank. Money is huge to these players, but most guys also enjoy winning.
  19. Sure, but the example I responded to stated that you always choose Miami over Buffalo if money is equal. That would not be true if Buffalo were a winner. Scheme and fitting in with a team is important as well. Not sure what you mean.
  20. Not necessarily. Football players should want to win. If the Fish suck while the Bills are dominating, you’d be an idiot to play for the Fish.
