  1. Well, he was definitely the 12th best QB in the playoffs. P.S please Nick Foles, don’t make a fool out of me.
  2. That’s what makes college football so big in the south. You are correct, many northerners are only fans of their alma mater. Bama has an entire state behind them (excluding Auburn fans) who often times aren’t grads.
  3. Absolutely, I enjoy college football a great deal, but I didn’t go out of my way to watch the National Championship game. As a lifelong WNY’er, who cares about Alabama and Georgia? That’s the issue for me. Sports need to have a personal connection for me to care about them. Bills football is important because it is part of my heritage. By association it makes the rest of the NFL matter to me. I want to watch NE because I’d like to see them lose. I enjoy following Pittsburgh because I have family from there (not that I like the Steelers). However, SEC college football has no personal connection to make me care about watching Bama vs Georgia. UB has done a great job building their program. The last thing I want to do is to denigrate what they have done. However, mid major college football simply doesn’t attract fan interest. Attendance numbers are horrible across the MAC. Nothing UB can do will turn Buffalo into a college football town. UB would need to join the a power conference; and compete for titles to persuade the fans of WNY. The MAC lacks appeal to sports fans because they compete for little more than an opportunity to play in a low level bowl game. MAC teams have no chance at national titles. They are like the ugly step children trapped in a sport where they aren’t equals. I believe that this discourages fans from becoming fully enthusiastic about UB. The stage simply isn’t big enough to attract a large fan base.
  4. How can you say that Cam embarrassed the franchise? Jerry Richardson was probably proud of him.
  5. New England, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia are all in the bottom 10. I guess this shows what a QB can do for you. On the other hand, it does reflect poorly on the weak WR corps. It will make any QB’s job more difficult, but I welcome watching a new one take on that challenge.
  6. Kupp also lived with Goff for a short time. The two are close friends. Never underestimate the impact that has on targets, and comfort level for the QB. I’m sure they will spend time working together in the off-season as well. I can envision Kupp being an integral part of that offense for the foreseeable future. If Sammy sees an increase in targets, it won’t be due to a decrease in Kupp’s imo.
  7. Shaq is a victim of his draft position. He has not contributed in the manner that you’d hope a first round defensive end would. Lawson is not the big play difference maker you want to find in the first round. If he were a forth round pick, the narrative would be different.
  8. Or maybe somehow we can pipe him into TT’s helmet to tell him where to throw.
  9. Which makes me wonder how much you’d actually get for Hughes. I’d be curious to see what teams would be willing to offer. I can guarantee that it would have been more a couple years ago.
  10. McCaffrey being a nominee is the biggest joke.
  11. I just believe that the TD numbers were somewhat coincidental. It’s not as if Watkins has proven himself to be a big red zone threat in the pros. He doesn’t have the size to be that guy. He’s a big play guy who happened to find the endzone on a high percentage of his catches this season. The reality is 39 catches isn’t enough for a supposed number one receiver. I don’t think that his presence in the red zone would have been the difference yesterday.
  12. The worst part of this is Incognito’s future with the team. Half of you will go crazy if he sticks around for years to come (because racist accusations) and the other half will go crazy if we ever let him go (he got blackballed). In reality he had an average season with the rest of the O Line.
  13. Nope, it will continue as long as kids can be covered under parents health insurance until 26.
  14. I agree with that, but 39/8 likely translates to 25/3 in this offense. Sammy played in a high powered, well coached offense in LA. Dennison needs to go before any of our players can contribute.
  15. I’m cutting off the trust fund if my kid is going to Jacksonville to jump on tables. I’m not a grumpy old man, but the table crushing is just stupid.
  16. Only 39 catches though, so those 8 td’s are somewhat misleading. Additionally, no one is catching 8 td’s in Dennison’s offense.
  17. Everyone loves Russ. He seems kind of tight with Pegs from some of the videos I’ve seen. I’m not claiming that Russ has much power anymore, but he has seemingly worked his way into the good graces of the new ownership. He isn’t going anywhere.
  18. I agree, but at least his run game could occasionally set up the passing game. At times the running scheme was feared enough to open up deep threats. Dennison’s run scheme and pass scheme are both a mess. It’s really a testament to Shady’s greatness that he’s had a respectable season. The blocking schemes are awful, and many of the run calls are questionable.
  19. He wanted to move to Florida, but that request was denied.
  20. He has to stay in Nevada due to conditions of parole, and I think that anywhere else in Nevada might be worse than jail itself.
  21. Ask the actual Irish what they think of corned beef and cabbage, that’s always fun.
  22. It really wouldn’t have been that difficult for this discussion to be focused solely on Incognito and Ngakoue. Sadly, that’s not possible in 2018.
  23. I realize that it’s a random stat, but it just made me think about 1999-2017 Buffalo Bills teams. We had no offense in 1999, and we have no offense in 2017. With small exceptions, we’ve had a futile offense for about twenty years. We’ve had championship caliber defenses at times, but the offense has been painful for years.
